Yeah, it was simple enough to just assume they were reinforcements.

Yeah, it was simple enough to just assume they were reinforcements.

except that they were treated as if they had been there all along.

its pretty obvious where the bots came from in season two, the last episode of season 1 explained that, after the humans gave the autobots enought energy to fix their ship and to replinish cybertron they left and went back to cybertron then came back to earth in season 2

...WTF? that did not happen. i've seen that episode dozens of times(One of the few episodes I had on tape.) here, go to http://www.transformersforever.com/ , click on Generation 1, go to "cartoon synopses", and find te heavy Metal War synopses. I'd copy and paste it, but they don't allow ithat.

He's referring to the end of the "More Than Meets The Eye" three parter, which instead of being the end of season 1 is instead the beginning.

And as for them being treated as though they were there all along, nobody really mentions how long a time has passed between seasons, so they could've been there for a couple of months already. No need to keep acting surprised everytime you see the "new guy" that has been there for ages.

These are things that fit into what Madhammer was saying about there not being any need to explain some things.

The TM2 driver though is just annoying because why would the Vok have created a device to enhance TM forms beyond normal parameters when they had nothing to do with the Cybertron Beasties being transmetalised in the first place? [All the BW characters who were "born" from protoforms on Earth (Tigatron, AirRazor, Inferno, Black Arachnia) did not get changed, which I think is very interesting in itself]

WELL THINK perhaps the driver wasn't originally made for that but Megatron found it's capabilities could be modified to create TM2s?

either that or it just had that ability anyway, and it's real purpose wasn't discovered by Megatron.

It's always funny to me how fanboys crave exposition, as though that were.... interesting. Can't you just accept that something *is* there without having to ask all the "why" and "how" questions all the time?

My seven-year-old asks questions about story details like that, like "where did that come from?" I ask him "well, where do *you* think it came from?" and he starts using his imagination and coming up with these fun little stories about stuff. It never occurs to him to be pissed about the fact that it wasn't explained in the episode.

And yes, he's the target demographic for these shows, just as a reminder.

kthx

so if you were watching an adult TV show like "Rescue Me", and a character appeared out of nowhere with no introduction but eveyone else on the show acted like nothing changed, that wouldn't bother you?

The main reason the TM driver bothers me is becuase it and the Covenant of Primus are the only huge plot holes in the last half of BW.

how was the covonent of primus a plot hole. he said only two exist, one was abord the ark. the we see megs has one so obviously it was abord the nemisis. they even say that theyre datatracks.

I always thought that Megatron found the Covenant of Primus on the Nemesis, or he had it on his ship the whole time. What's I'm REALLY wondering, is where he found that wig!

two existed. one on the ark. one on the nemesis.

He found a wig on the Ark and a wig on the Nemesis?  :tflaugh

Sorry, couldn't resist.

He probably had the wig in his closet. I mean in one scene Blackarachnia (I think) digs through it, and you can see a model airplane, G1 Starscream's head (or at least model of), a replica of G1 Megatron's fusion cannon, his rubber ducky, as well as a crap load of other things. Him having a wig in there doesn't seem very far fetched.

Why does the commander of the predacons have a rubber ducky anyway? I bet Tarantualus still sleeps with his bo-bo-bear  :tflaugh
