and how it would have been super awsome and all that - and how a lot of it was designed but never built...

 

Just a Question - how much of it has popped up in recent lines?

 

I understand that Air Attack Primal was released in RiD but originally for TT.

 

A-Scavanger = TT

 

E-Rodimus reallly looks simmilar to the TT design for OPrime

 

GF-NoiseMaze and GF-Sound Wave look like TT designs...

 

Any official word? opinions? speculations?

The TransTech concept was a line intended to follow on from Beast Machines, taking Transformers to their most futuristic. Hasbro commissioned sets of designs from Draxhall Jump, though the only one to see direct release was Air Attack Optimus Primal, sold as part of the RiD series. On the other hand, a few design stylings and colour schemes made it over into Transformers Armada, and the concept art would appear to show that the minicon angle was under consideration for some time.

Actually HR summed it up already. It was gonna follow RiD (which was just a filler) but got dropped for still-unknown reasons. Hasbro farmed the TF franchise out to Japan instead and Armada was born.

I thought Hasbro scrapped Transtech because of the disaster that was BM (at that time it was for Hasbro) and decided to go in a new direction.  They brought over Car Robots as RID while they worked on creating what came to be known as Armada.
