Well, there was a Super Link episode that was never aired because it was considered too violent for American release.  As for rebuilds, Scattorshot, Hot Shot, and Red alert are supposed to get slagged and they have to be totally rebuilt into what will be known as the SWAT team.  (Vanguard Squadron).

The 'Superlink episode' you're reffering to was not 'out of the ordinary', it was about alpaQ's attempt to force Scorponok to remember their frendship, and that's all!!

FIY, Blot is a common word throughout the takara series and we only get it once?!??!!

As far as the movie goes, as long as their's a tremedous property damage and at least 80% action and decent bots it's fine with me  :roll

But then agen I remember what happend with the 'POWER RANGERS' movie, If that's what their aiming for I'm so going to tear someone a new arse  :wtf

I'm not sure that blowing up a machine counts as ultra-violence. If that happened to people, it might be a different story.

What about smashing a hot iron onto a guy's face (the shield)

They did a LOT more than that on the Shield! That show rocks!!!  :thumb

:pfx they cuss on the radio now, and have herpes commercial on reg tv, i mean how far do you think nudity is, and the wb has shows with cuss words all the time  :redface but that might be why nobody watches it if cartoons and videogames are cussing reg tv isn't far from it, remember they said $!ht is south park.....i don't remember how many times but that was tv, now to conqueor basic  :clap

They told me you can swear on XM Radio.  I said "No Blot, because nobody can hear it.  You can swear in the woods, too."Hedberg>

But then agen I remember what happend with the 'POWER RANGERS' movie, If that's what their aiming for I'm so going to tear someone a new arse  :wtf

:pfx

If that's what we get, I'm going be very disappointed.

I like to keep on thinking of SpiderMan and Xmen as the prototypes for this movie - both in violence level and in quality (i hope i hope)

There is some very violent stuff in both movies - DocOk's saw, Wolvies Claws - but Buckets of Blood and drawn out agonized screams arent necessary.

If its that intensity level - i will be happy.

Picture the movie based around ET.

Spike supes up the bumblebee VW (or what ever its gonna be since they can't get the rights) and finally gets it to start.  He drives off to pick up Carley for the prom, and then the military starts to chase him.  Run Bumble RUN!  They drive through the woods, head lights blazing.  And then, a cliff.  OH NO can't stop in time!  And POOF the car takes off and flies up and in front of the moon...cue the magical music, the kids scream YEA!!!! :tfdance

Picture the movie based around Starwars...

3 movie series, first one they pull in a local farm car VW who always dreamed in fighting in the great war, a classy fancy car that gets stuck in the repo yard, and a semi broken down hot rod which just wants the gas.  Against the evil corporate sponsored and powerful phantom race car or stealth jet.

Second movie, hotrod gets sent to Pimp My Rides, Fancy car gets sent for a tune up and has to wait for foreign parts, and farm car gets suped up a bit, like speed racer style, but looses his tire in a battle finding out that the black jet was actually his mechanic!

Third movie, the main cars have are reunited, they team up to fight the corporation, which is taken down by a world of Krimzeekes. :inhpoo

Picture it like Jaws...

Starts out with a classic move, where spike spends the entire first hour telling the people to stay off the roads, there are killer robots out there.  Finally he and a couple others, his Dad, and Chip go out in search of the evil robots.  Sparkplug gets stomped by a tank, Chip runs and hides behind a bill board and finds more squashed people, and Spike yells "SMILE YOU SOB" And blows up a gas tank, killing the psyco robot...followed by remakes of the original movie which all stink and are not worth mentioning. :epic

Indiana Jones...

Spike and Sparkplug go up against the US military.  "Where are the Transmissions?!?!'  I am a transmission speclailst, I must see them..." sneeking in to their base.  They creep through labs and radio rooms hidden in fire places, till they find the sleeping Optimus prime.  Chest open exposing the golden matrix.  Carefully Spike steps up to the platform and startes at it for a moment, he carefully gages its weight and pulls out a bag of sand.  Letting some spill out for a brief second, he closes it up and holds it in one hand, the other is open and waiting to grab the Matrix.  In one swift motion the exchange is made, bag for Matrix, and Spike holds it up by the handles over his head.  "JR!" Sparkplug yells as the bag starts to sink into the great robots chest.  Doors close up and his chest goes back to its normal configuration.  Eyes of the giant light up and he sturrs in his seat.  Spike and Sparkplug run for their lives as the robot rips loose from its arm bands and frees its self from bondage.  It stomps after them, BOOM BOOM BOOM with each foot step.  Getting tangled in wires, Prime stumbles and falls to one knee, like rolling thunder, the falling building sized robot still catches up on the humans...  :tflaugh

The Duel:

Spike is driving along in his car along a desert highway.  He speeds up and cuts off a 16 wheeler, which ticks him off.  The next few hours is a cat and mouse game where Spike tries to run from the big red truck.  In the end, the car has had enough, reveals its self as bumblebee, transforms and tags the truck yelling "NOW YOUR IT!' and the trun turns into Optimus Prime and they laugh and laugh... :tftongue

I can see this debate from two poinst of view: Since Transformers will definitivelly be aimed towards kids (adult fans are still far from being a dominant faction on this scene), I can understand that Habro wants to keep things "familiy friendly" (IF there is anything friendly about a war). I have read countless post throughtout various posts about how the death of Optimus affected some fans.  :eek This show how kids are not prepared to deal with all the death issue. On top of that, with the original movie not earning enough profits (possibly because of this), I think Hasbro will be more carefull witht his one. But things has changed a lot since the 80's so we'll have to wait and see.

BUT, I also see this from the point of view of the fan: fisrt, as stated before, Transformers is and will always be about WAR. If they don't want the war issue they better start making a show in the vein of Rescue Heroes (I think the idea of transforming robots used as firefighters and rescue vehicles is a good one :thumb ). Therefore, having robots shooting each other and NONE getting hurt is quite ludicrus!  :wtf

As for rating the movie will more likelly be PG-13, no matter the vioelnece. Besides, a lot of PG-13 movies are quite violent today so I don't see any reason why the new movie will be a live action version of Armada.

PS: Where can I get Scorponoek's Scar (the Energon episode Hasbro skipped)??
