Oh and you can't give him credit for getting the best of Galvatron in S3. The cartoon listed Galvatron as insane and all he really did is beat up cyclonus and destroy some wierd planet.

*dis agrees*

Galvatron's insanity and Ultra Magnus don't have anything in common.

Ultra Magnus got credit in season 3, and was better than Rodimus.

In season 4 Ultra Magnus still was 2nd in command while Rodimus went

back to being Hot Rod.

ultramagnus forever guys

Ultra Magnus is willing to sacrifice his life as a soldier but as a leader you have to be able to send troops possibly out to their deaths. in the Movie U571 Matthew Maconoghey's character sasy he would give his life for anyone of his shipmates but Bill Paxton says the true leader would sometimes have to order people to go on a misson which could kill them

U571s hardly the most true to life film out there but I agree, a leaders place (in wartime) is to consider the well being of his mission (Magnus: 'forget me the shuttle needss priority. The peace conference depends on it.') and the defence of his country/planet first and foremost. Magnus never seemed to have a problem making the big decisions ("I CAN'T deal with that right now!) when it came to sacrificing for the greater good, but he did on occasion put himself at risk for others. (esp. Wheelie - NOOOOO!)

Well,

First of all we all know that when Ultra Magnus got the matrix he was like YESSSSSSS!!!!!! on the inside.

With the Galvatron thing, He just didn't understand that that wasn't thier darkest hour, I mean it wasn't the end of the movie yet...

He only got almost killed because he was shot by a group of sweeps.

He would have made a good leader, but he was just thrown into the middle of a whole big conflict.

Yeah, I think the biggest mark against UM isn't that he "couldn't deal with" Hot Rod & Kup's shuttle crashing in the movie, or getting pwned by the sweeps, but the fact that he SAVED WHEELIE by placing HIMSELF in the line of fire to protect him.....  That I think hurts his credibility more than anything.....

um was ok, but i think he was more of an advisor type as well, and it wasn't roddy's fault he went back to normal after losing the matrix, if you take juggernuts gem he turns into a shrimp, point in case, you take a way my power and i'm a nobody, but if i was roddy after prime saved the day in roop i

d killed his @$$ and took the matrix back, but he was too young and not ready to be leader give him another 5bil yrs and i'm sure he'd be fine, back um the whole matrix not open how long you gon fight with something b4 you realize hey maybe i should try something else  :wave , he got dismantled by his on stupidity and probably was too embaressed to show up for the rest of the movie, man if i was springer i'd never let him live that down, and that was the shocker of the movie

um:dammit! why won't you open

um the hero cussed  :eek
