Takara Dissolved

Currently worse case is Hasbro will design everything. Currently GI Joe is doing about as well as TFs and they didn't can it. We might lose everything that's not the main line though.

Worst case scenario...Hasbro loses license and would have to design new toys and molds. Tomy cans and axes current or future releases and comes with Trans-zoids, Gatcha-formers or some utter kind of crap.

Either way we lose....

There is no license to lose. Hasbro owns the name, Takara just designed toys.

With Takara now absorbed into a more financially stable company, I believe things will be looking up. Hasbro and Tomy are in good terms since Hasbro has helped bring their products in like Zoids, so I doubt Tomy will be screwing Hasbro over with TFs.

I agree, Tomy has had it's own transforming-merge group robots and with a great deal of mechanical knowhow and a better quality controll we may see these qualitys applied to the TRANSFORMERS line!

And new possibilitys, like TF model kits you don't have to take apart to transform,

Perhaps figures that don't have those pesky desighn falts!

Dont forget that the TF designers from TAKARA will most likely remain on the line under TOMY!! :schin

In the meanwhile over the next few months they will still be identified as seperate companys so maybe we ahould refer to them as HAS/TOM/ARA !!

Why? Because HASTAMARA come already !!??!!  :D

Blimey!

If this is just a merger, then I don't see much to worry about if Tomy keeps starts making the TF's...that is if they can incorporate what Takara has done with TF's for the last 20 years (design-wise).

actually they both design the toys, takara just does most if not all of the enginereing. they pass there bot and alt modes back and forth untill both companies agree on a form, then takara's engeeres make the figure mathmaticly proportional in a working figure. but granted thats splitting hairs. if for some reason hasbro does gain soul countrol of the tf lines, they'll make a bit more money out of it b/c collectors will be buying there figs only and not takara's. depending on how greate the profits will be will determine if the line(s) go any where or not. if they see no noticeable increase in revinew, and are now forced to pay the engineering bill, we can probably kiss tfs good bye for now.
