Is this good news or bad news?

Er...too early to tell. I have a bad feeling though...

I'm a pessimist anyway.

I thought they merged, so wouldn't that make it moot.

where the hell did you here this? besides, Hasbro has made deals with Tomy in the pass(pokemon, zoids).

send us an article on this please. I too thought they just merged.

So, does that mean from now on it's Has/TOM?

well, as that article reads, Tomy & Takara have merged with the merger to be completed next spring, and upon completion of the merger, the name Takara will be dissolved but at that point all of Takara's core business & products will have been wholly merged into Tomy, so it would appear that Takara's products (for us mainly TF's) will continue but under the Tomy banner.  And if i'm not mistaken, Hasbro already owns Tomy which was a Kenner property when they were merged with Hasbro?

Hmm...so does that mean Hasbro won't need to apply for TF licences that Takara owns?  I would think that they inherit them, if Hasbro does own Tomy.

meet the new boss, same as old boss. but HasTom just doesn't have the same ring to it, unless we call them "Hastomy".

Or Hastoma.
