Before the beginning of the Cybertron saga and the end of the Energon story, Jetfire decided that he wanted to take some time to rest and recuperate after the final battle with Unicron. He traveled to the far-off planet of Nebulon where he lived among the natives for some time. That explains why he's come back to the Autobots with an accent.

This series was made by a DIFFERENT studio that has the U.S. and INTERNATIONAL  market in mind and remember NOT ALL TRANSFORMERS SPEAK GENERIC AMERICAN !!

And it's about time the caracters regained a personal sence of identity !

 

This series is more beleveable than energon, but also loosely ties in( Alpha Q's  worlds,

Jungle planet= beast planet, race world= SPEEDIA and let's not forget THE BLACK HOLE)

TFs ARE from a different planet after all. Why would they have earth accents anyway? And I don't recall any accents watching GF...

 

...Still haven't answered my question... If Cybertron (NOT GF) is a continuation of Armada/Energon, then why are some characters voices and personalities so different all of a sudden?

Because Hasbros Cybertron has to make up a load of crap to fit in with the animation, they wanted a continuation Takara did not and Takara made the cartoon so hasbro are (in this instance I am not a hardened hasbro basher) making a huge botch of everything, including what I am led to beleive, yet again a crap voice studio.

 

That said I have no doubt its better than armada or energon, there is stuff on the bottom of my shoe thats better than energon ;)

Yes they are and the show is designed so it does not complete cut off ties with Energon.

X-Bob, GF has several hints as to being in the ML/SL universe. hell, jus twatch the first DVD special, it all but says 'WE'RE IN THE OLD CONTINUITY, GUYS!"

 

I don't think it's being done because Hasbro wants that though. it seems more like a nod in the direction of the fans to me.

I was under the impression that onyl a few humans knew aobut Transformers in the first place. also, the cybertrons are different characters than the ones in SL. it could be argued that they never had the chance to see a combiner in action.

 

again, not that I think these things. it's just that GF has JUST enough looseness in it's plot for it to be considered a possible sequal to SL.

True they were amazed, but that doesn't mean most knew abotu it. for example, this world is full of amazing things that most people just don't know about. why wouldn't seibertron be the same way?
