Question for the anti misb pepoe

Recommended Posts

I only keep Japanese boxes, like BT's and Takara reissues... Energon, Armada, etc. are thrown away.

I stack the boxes in a closet, but I'm running out of room. I used to keep the bubbles on the cards, but I cut them all off to save room several months ago.

Same, though space is limited.

I really have to wonder if keeping all these boxes is worth it. They've all be opened so that blows MISB resale out of the water, and I can't see the addition of a box adding all that much to a toys overall value. I don't plan on selling anytime soon but i guess it's nice knowing the options there. :thumb

I keep them mainly to have some where safe to store them if/when they leave the displays. Although I have noticed eBay auctions with boxes for got a bit more, but like you I don't plan on selling anytime soon.

I keep all the boxes until Cleaning time comes around, the I have to throw most of the out.

I plan to keep my Alt. Boxes So I can pack them up easier and not run the chance of them breaking while they are all in a big box together.

There's my 2 cents.

I keep the cardboards, not the boxes.  The only way a box helps to raise the value is if the toy is MISB, never been opened or having it AFA graded.  besides, there's no fun in having toys if you can't "play" with them.

You guys might be able to get a few bucks back by selling/trading some of the nicer boxes/packages to other collectors.

Especially if you have everything, inserts/ties, etc.  I know if I was in the market I'd be willing to pay at least a couple of bucks for boxes.  Surely there are more than enough others out there looking for boxes?  Maybe not.

It would mean more $$$ for you guys to buy even more loot. Win Win! :clap

:wave  :wave I collect G1 TF for sentimental/ memory purpose only.  I don't buy them for value investment, therefore I opened all of them.  With that, I trashed all of the boxes aways regardless original or reissue.

I like to display my TFs just like a trophy inside a glass display case.  They look very shiny and interesting.  So with that, indeed, free your transformers from their prison box cell!!!

for space purposes, I recently tossed all the bubbles, but kept the cards and any cardboard insert, like the nametags for energon.
