Question for the anti misb pepoe

Recommended Posts

I throw away plastic bubbles from deluxe and basic figures, plastic inserts from boxes, I fold down the boxes (starting with smaller boxes as the large boxes are used as storage)

as for myself... if they aren't g1 reissues, commerative series, alts bt's or from japan, mp01... i chuck the boxes. my dad loves the twisties for making the cords behind the tv look all nice and organized. i keep all the instructions sealed, and never use the missles. (i hate loosing them so my solution is to never use em)

the only boxes i have are my rid prime and magnus boxes.. but all the packaging for rid, armada, energon have met the recycling bin.

Unless it's a really rare peice that came with a box -like vintage g1- then I keep it because the box itself is worth it's merits. I keep the reissue boxes as well, for sake of keeping all the parts together and easy repack incase I need to put it away. Unless it's imported, then the box goes away. Japanese Boxes fascinate me for some reason. I don't got a lot of imports thank god.

*touches stuff*

the instructions are way more valuable than the funky old boxes, I use to keep cards whne bw/bm had instruction on them, but other than that that stuff is gone... If I really see a tf as valuable, I buy 2 (kisses MP-01 box) damnit, I have lessened its value by getting mandrool on it

thats about right if I don't plan on keeping it in the box then trash it.  If the box is cool like reissues keep it

I keep the boxes for Japanese figures. I move house quite a lot, so I always repack them into the boxes so as to have the fun of opening them again.

I stack the boxes in a closet, but I'm running out of room. I used to keep the bubbles on the cards, but I cut them all off to save room several months ago.

Same, though space is limited.

I really have to wonder if keeping all these boxes is worth it. They've all be opened so that blows MISB resale out of the water, and I can't see the addition of a box adding all that much to a toys overall value. I don't plan on selling anytime soon but i guess it's nice knowing the options there. :thumb

*thought everyone kept boxes*  Erm, yeah.  I have all the boxes for any of my toys that I've bought with boxes.  Which is alot.  They take up a closet in a room upstairs, my bedroom closet is over flowing with them, and they inhabit several tubs in my basement.  I don't plan to sell them, and I don't like keeping toys in boxes (and let's face it, they are toys) but I like the boxes.  They make me all warm and cozy inside.

No way my wife would let me keep the boxes, though I managed to keep my TRU reissue Prime's box in a closet for a few months.  Then I realized it was just pretty cardboard and tossed it.  I only keep the instructions and tech specs these days.  Plus any catalog I don't have, as my three year old loves to look at them during church!  Anything to keep him quiet. :tflaugh

Woah all you people who through out the boxes. I'll take them. Send them to me! I'll pay like a dollar each plus the shipping! And the plastic that goes in the boxes too!
