That is photoshopped - the Proto is unpainted and someone digibashed it so that we all could get an idea of what grey lamo would look like as Ironhide!

I still like the guy - I wish the windshield was infront of his face for a G1/WWI/anything-other-than-hood-chest feel - but that alone aint going to kill the figure for me

If anything they confirm the opposite INTELLECTUAL property, not physical.  Simple fact is they are unreleased figures, that is all.

... which were NOT MEANT TO BE SOLD.

Hasbro own the intellectual property to officially released Transformers products too, but I doubt they would ever crack down on eBay auctions for officially released Transformers products.

the simple fact and legal standing of hasbro is that they are laying no claim to the physical aspect, the intellectual property is related to the fact that they are unreleased figures, that should be outside the public domain.  They cannot legally stop the resale of released TFs unless they reorganise the company to such an extent that it doesnt actually sell any products ;) or if they make the retailers make customers sign licenses :lol can BMW stop you selling your car? Can the company that build your house stop you selling it? No of course not because you own the physical possesion outright, to do with it as you wish (unless of course there has been an official and legally binding licence or agreement entered into, toys do not enter this category ;))

I could pull out my law books and give a precise 100 page answer if you wish, UK or American ;)

Update... I will still be reciving the Ironhide that I won.  (Which I am calling Skids from here on out... deal with it.)  So yes, you can expect your exclusive photo gallery as soon as my package arrives!!!  :mwahaha

*awaits legal action from Hasbro*

*gets sued for spending $120 on an unpainted version of a $20 toy*

Chill people. Things that should not be sold get bought all the time. It's like knock offs & bootlegs which is also copyright infringement, not just for toys but a whole lot of other stuff.  They make, steal & sell them because there is a demand.  Supply & demand.  There's really no point in leaving this subject open, but I'll leave it be until someone else lashes out which I will take a non-verbal action...
