This topic is most interesting. All along I've thought that Fort Max is the biggest there is (other than Unicron, storywise of cos). But with this topic, I'm recalling the episode where they fiddled with Metroplex's and Trypticon's eyes. The eye module was already so big (the eye slot seemed even bigger) as compared to a normal sized Tf. Since Cerebos was a normal sized Tf, that would result in a scale for Metroplex to be very huge.

However, like Tripredacus, I remember that it was suggested/said that Metroplex was only part of Autobot City, not the entire thing.

Like someone said earlier, it all depends on the source we're talking about.

But it all agrees on one thing, Tf scale is never consistent. :tflaugh

Yea it all depends. We can all find a scene where one guy was bigger than the other, but I think we need to take the average size comparison shots and say "well 75% of the time, Devestator was taller than Soundwave so..." and the same thing with Fort Max. I think tho that Fort Max is bigger than Brave Max.

Mass shifting, and subspace, if Megs can go from 18 feet, to the size of a gun, then Cerebros can go from 18 feetto the size of Fort Max's head

this isnt true, cause in Car Robot/RiD, Fortress, the smallest of the three headmaster units, was the same size as at least the acr robots as apposed to Spike being the obvious size of a human. There for "The Emisary" the Fortress in Car Robots/RiD would be hte size of a G1 gestalt, which would ofcourse make Fortress Maximus inCar Robots/RiD be, in the end, taller tha G1 Maximus.... Remember, RiD here was, just like in Japan, a different "tfverse". There for Fortress Maximus was given his name here probably because of the design and toy use in the show from the 80's. Thats what I think.

While we're at it:

1. What Happened to Snarl in TF: The Movie?

2. Who would win between Unicron and the Death Star?

3. What colour was Rumble anyway?

:tflaugh

:wave  :wave I never understand that head arguement into the mix.  For starter, the human is fixed, it's his sorrounding environment that change its size or shape not the human/Spike.  So to say FMax can/t be bigger than Metroplex due to the present of the human is a lot bit off especially in the world of TF where every bot change size from micro to gigantic.

My view:

I have always view Metroplex and FMax as City Size Bots unlike the comic because:

1 - The Cartoon: Season 4 intro show the gestalts (Bruticus & Defensor) are the size of an ant when compare to either Metroplex or Fmax.

2 - Function: FMax (robot/battle station crusier/city), Metroplex (robot/battle station/city)

3 - I don't follow marvel, lol.

As to who's bigger - I have always thought FMax was slightly larger maybe a head taller but not as extreme as what that Magazine show.
