none. if they want new charaters they should make new molds. why would i want to buy the same toy just because it's painted different and has a new name? for the G1 seekers it was fine, ocassionally it's okay to do a repaint. but when they repaint x-brawn(example) and say he's ratchet that's laziness. IMO

Kill Switch = Energon Rodimus repainted black with green trim

 

Clamp Down = Energon Prowl repainted black

 

Hot Spot = Energon Inferno repainted light blue with black trim

 

Jazz = Energon Hot Shot repainted to a G1 Jazz likeness

A lot of money and time goes into a new mold. It has nothing to do with laziness, just money.

Besides, I happen to like repaints! Sometimes a toy looks entirely different with new colors, it's cool. :thumb

there are repaints of energon in the works: hot shot, signal flare, megatron, strongarm, and ironhide. that's on the hasbro website. they've got pics of all but ironhide

i liek the idea of Ironhide as Rachet...it looks good. i also wouldnt mind seeing the armada Skywarp mold repainted as Dirge, Thurst and Ramjet

Killswitch--Good to see another Hound fan out there! And Smokes, NO WAY your gonna see a Marlboro anything. Not with all the psycho smoking-is-evil crowd out there doing our thinking for us. And heres a question: Just who the hell was Sunstorm originally? Someone wanted to see Starscream repainted as him, E-hobby released a G1 Seeker as him, and now hes a TF Universe character. But where did all this start? Like I remember Hauler from the first cartoon episode (probably a teaser of Grapple) but I dont remember sunstorm anywhere.

I thought sunstorm was from the new G1 comic from dreamwave?

I'd like to see Starcsream repainted as not only Thundercracker and Skywarp, but as Dirge, Ramjet and Thrust. Of course, they'll probably have to be renamed, but still.

 

I'd also like to see a repainted Strongarm as Hound and Ironhide as Ratchet.

 

Question: whatever happened to Red alert and Hoist from Armada? Anyone?
