I disagree with humanity being as stupid as it's always been: I think humanity's getting stupider with each generation. Proof? Just take a look around.

the more you study history, the more you realize that humanity has always been both as civilized and as barbaric as it is today.

I've actually felt the same way as well, I got Takara Reissues Starscream and Stepper at conventions but once I pulled them out I was like "I spent money on this?!". I had to use massive willpower this year not to buy reissue Blitzwing at Katsucon  :redface I guess I've just been spoiled by new TFs

Just with different means to accomplish both.

Like I said, "I not saying all kids are like that." Also, don't take me wrong fella's, I don't want us to start hating each other here. I guess I came off harsh and made to broad of a statement.

Kids today are different, while true that each has a different artistic outlet, and some must be pushed more than others, there are some kids that you can't help. I still try, but they don't want help and have the "I don't need what your trying to do for me mentality."

I allow the kids to do just about what ever they want, draw, paint, sculpt, etc. while still giving them guidelines and rules they must follow. Hell, I even do my customs in the class sometimes so they can watch just to show them that art isn't just fine sculpture and oil painting.

I just have to many kids that want to draw pictures that show either one person hurting someone else, bashing gay people, or in some way glorifying the Confederate Flag or the Nazi Symbol.

I’m not saying all kids are bad, some are just confused. I try to teach my kids some morals and respect for themselves and others, not just art.

And yes I'm an artsy, arrogant prick who doesn't understand kids and only wants to do.........Transformer Kitbashes!!!!! :tflaugh

No, they're all bad. Which is why you have to beat their asses.

...I kid, I kid....

One thing I have noticed about the G1 reissues: they do seem flimsier than the originals. Also, the clors and plastic used aren't the same, and some of the details are a little sloppy. Anyone else notice this?

yes, I have. I'm guessing that mold degradation is the culprit, but I'll be the first to admit that I don't know what the heck I'm talking about on this subject. All I know is that my reissue Jazz felt funny compared to an original G1.

I would never hit one of my kids, but I'd shake the hell out of them.

Yeah. My reissue optimus didn't feel quite right either. Like they're using a less-dense plastic or something. The older version feels more solid or something like that, if that's the correct word. About the only thing they improved are the decals, but sadly, that's it.

(now just imagine BW or BM reissues 10 or so years down the line!)
