Whoo hoo!! That sounds great!!

Though I've only seen 3 out of 4 of the listed movies, but I think that resume is pretty good IMO.

Nice. Thanks BG :clap

I'll take him over Roland Emmerich any day. We can all also thank god it's not Uwe Boll or Joel Shumacher.

Or that guy who did Battlefield Earth :puke

Scorsese couldn't have save Battlefield Earth. There was a lot more going on there than bad direction, that's for sure.

I'm not surprised 'cuz I mentioned this like last week. :P

But at least I've had a week to think about what Bay's presence in this film will be like.

In short, he's a very good choice to helm a film adaptation of a high-action, low-character development cartoon/comic series that aired during the Reagan era.

and Paul Anderson :pfx :pfx

Now that we have a director, preproduction should start to get into full swing. We will probably hear about VA's by June at the latest. preliminary sketches will start to be leaked, or handed out on Murphy's or Dreamwork's sites if they're officially released.

This is the moment I have been waiting for, finally there will more than simple conjecture about the new movie!

Bay was an unexpected choice for me, but he sure beats Boll, Emmerich, Shumacher, and Anderson.

This is what I don't get. Murphy was all like "oh it could have been a lot worse if we hadn't gotten Bay." I'm like, there are fifty zillion directors in the world. Why are we even considering these crap directors as possibilities?

Oh yeah it's Transformers. :redface
