Ideas for possible Alternators

Hell, the G1 planes had considerably little kibble considering thier design timeframe. I'm sure modern engineering could simply expand on the G1 transformation scheme with more articulation and detail and turn out a nearly flawless jet Alternator. I'm thinking some kind of cross between the G1 seekers and G1 Skyfire, with Alt/Masterpiece type joints and such.

Since there's no need for openning doors, hoods and trunks I think planes might work. Only functional parts for toyetics would be landing gear, airbrake (or VTOL mode if needed, on X-plane types). Also for functional sake I think that the stabilizers on the wings should move. other than that I think they can do some Valkyrie mechanics on them. If an F-14 Tomcat can become the VF-1, then I suppose we can get some supersized Cyberjets!

I'm surprised I haven't heard anyone mention the Mitsubishi mold that has been rumored and listed on some store stock lists.

They really do need to do some trucks. One of our forum members did a pretty terrific job on a Soundwave truck mold.

I also think that we will get at least one jet before the end of the year.

wild rider as a remold form prowl

e-hobby sunstreker and trail breaker

ironhide with a dadge ram alt mode and is them remolded into hoist

evo8 MR fq400 alt is confermed of break down with a rally veriant going by gear's or some other nobody

Yeah, I think jets would make for nice looking Alternators. The G1 Seekers, and even the Arielbots, had a minimum of kibble. With modern design techniques, we'd get terrific looking Alternator jets. We need only look to the small, but well made RM Starscream to see what is possible.

Alright, we've heard the little rumors and I believe there was an official announcement or some kind of press release that came from Has/Tak that mentioned they'd be making planes. 1/72 scale or some such.

Planes are still 100% rumor, there has been no "official" announcement.

(I think the closest we've come was a Hasbro marketing conference call/survey that some boardmembers from another forum participated in that asked if people would like to see jets in the Alternator line.)

But, if they do eventually do them: I'd like to see the F-22 for Starscream (repaint as Ramjet), an F-117 for Skywarp (repaint as Dirge) and the F-35 for Thundercracker (VTOL version remold for Thrust).

I agree completely here on what you said GenZero.

I think it shoudl go like this:

Skywarp - the Stealth F-117

Starscream - the F-22

Thundercracker - the FA-18 Hornet

I think then Remold them into the Conehead Seekers...

Dirge - Stealth F-117

Ramjet - FA-18 Hornet

Thrust - F-22

Something about Skywarp and Dirge to me scream the Stealth F-117...it jsut seems like they should be those.

Those Characters I think are worthy of an Alternator mold...

Jetfire

Starscream

Ramjet

Thrust

Skywarp

Thundercracker

Any G1 Arialbot

Misfire

(Please by all that is holy do not make a Powerglide mold.  That character was just plain annoying.)

Hey, I liked powerglide. He wasn't nearly as dumb as Seaspray or Warpath... yet I kinda like Warpath too..

oh, I dunno, could it be because the Universe fig looks kinda looks like it?

F-14 is still around, so I will say the obvious...

F-14=Jetfire/Skyfire

I don't really mind any of those second season minibots, they got way more characterization than any of the first season ones (except Bumblebee, of course).
