Are you thinking of scratch building or bashing model kits? For a bash, you'd need a kit for all 6 bots. Looking around the net, I was only able to find a cement truck and a dump truck. The other option I had in mind was using 1:50 diecast models. There are some nice detailed Caterpillar models out there.

Not hardly. Takes balls-O-steel to get past the dreaming stage of such a project. Far as Im concerned, farming some of the work out to other kitbashers is the only way to go with something like this. I dabble a bit, but my own skills are nowhere near some of you guys'. I hope this comes together, cuz Id really like to see the results...

Lobo:I will be sending out schematics to people soon. As for the build itself. I was planning on using alternators for each of the six components, and scratchbuilding most of the construction vehicle parts. But diecast is a Starscream to cut and work with. abs/styrene is probably the best choice.

 

Outrider74: Thanks. I just thought I could do it alone, and that was theone flaw in my calculation. But this is all probably for the best, and if we can pull it off, we can steal a lot of transtopia's thunder! :D

UPDATE:

 

Currenty, I am in the process of drawing up the schematics and blueprints for Devastator's six components. As mentioned, I will distribute them to the five other kitbashers to be selected for this.

 

Additionally, I have also decided that stuff such as weapons, Devastator body parts and decals might be additionally "farmed out" to those with experience. The one thing we will all need to do is coordinate this project TIGHTLY. At this point, folks need to start letting me know what Constructicon or part of the project they want to tackel. Post requests in this topic, or PM me. I hope to have the plans finished by sometime next week.

You know, ever since I saw that MP Dev Custom made Statue on Ebay awhile back I wanted to make one, just like it, that transformed as well.

 

But then when I thought about it some more I really wanted to stay true to the original designs but with upgraded details and poseability.

 

I am interested in working on a project like this but it's more of something I would have to do on my own or with someone that lives near me that can actually invest the time.

 

Thanks for the props guys but I have sooo many plans that i'm just locked right now.

 

Besides, I'd have to scratchbuild it.

 

I already want to use Alt Swindle's head for my MP/Alt Hook. :thumb
