Any 'official' word on Cybertron's timeline?

Recommended Posts

Someone in another post mentioned 50 years after Energon to me...

any confirmation?

in Japan Galaxy force is a new realality with a new time line, dunno about Cybertron though.

you know, i would have a hard time believing that Cybertron takes place 60 years in the future, considering that what earth tech we've seen so far doesn't like all that futuristic.

I agree. I wish they'd just start a new timeline again, instead of trying to link the three. But oh well. I won't complain because I'm loving this line.

From the catalog pics and stuff from Cybertron, Hasbro looks to be following the series, which is apparently a new continuity.

They might still try to link the series, but it would be tenuous at best

Especially since all the Human characters would be different.

It is obvious that Cybertron will take place AFTER Energon, but far enough in the future that none of the Armada/Energon human characters are in it. Excillion is Hot Shot, and Jetfire is returning. From the first episode, Megatron and Starscream come out of the sun, which is where they were left off in Energon/Superlink.

I'm 100% convinced that GF/Cybertron both are continuations of SL/Energon. How else did Megs get Unicron armor?

Because the toys were designed when Cybertron was definately going to be a direct sequel, but you can make changes in a cartoon a lot easier than a toy (which are designed months in advance).

I think we should just wait and see, but if you are expecting Cybertron to pick up right where Energon left off, I think you will be dissappointed (as far as the "sun" bit, how do you know it's a sun and not just an elaborate lair?).

Armada didn't get that much reference and it was a ten years after sequel so its no suprise if Cybertron is a 50-60 sequel and makes no references to Energon/Armada
