True, but they did replace Nightbeat with her.

And HI-G was Optimus's partner and in Masterforce that was not even Optimus Prime, if I recall correctly, he did not even have a spark.

He's God Ginrai (sp?) and he was meant to be a new body for Prime (Convoy), but something went wrong, I think. I not sure, X-Bob should have the answer.

Pretty sure he does. He seems to know everything about those cartoons.

I never cared much for Japanse cartoons mind you. The Transformers cartoon was made in the US. Sure the toys were by Japanese design but it was the Americans who came up with the idea to make them sentient robots fighting a classic good vs evil war.

Sure the cartoon had its flaws but any cartoon from that era has. Later the Japanese continued it but added their own ideas to it. And that is why I am not too fond of those cartoons simply because I do not like most of the Japanese cartoons.

Could be their form of story telling or something else I just do not know. One Japanese show I did like is Medabots. I like that very much. The rest I can do without. Just my preference though.

The Optimus/Masterforce issue is interesting. If you want to be

technical, that is PowerMaster Optimus Prime. The toy and the

bot in the show are the same. On the other hand, that character

is new to the show. I think he had a spark because at the end of the

series, the humans lose their power to combine with the robots.

The humans and the robots have a brief conversation and the bots

leave on their own.

I don't know if the Godmaster Transecters have sparks but they are alive unlike the Headmaster Transecters. The GM Transecters can heal themselves, and they revielend themselves on there own. At the end of the series all the Bots were given a life independent from there Partners.

And Yes Ginrai's transecter was ment to be a vessle for Convoy's resurection, but Devil-Z stole it B4 it could be used as such.

So the headmasters were just mindless drones controlled by humans?

The Headmaster Jr's are Drones given too the Humans to bolster the Forces. the Big Headmasters are Drones controlled by small TFS

Thanks. I suspected as much.

And that is also the part I do not like. Transformers are sentient robots, not mindless drones. Back in the 80's there were plenty of shows about robots. What made Transformers cool was that these robots were not controlled by humans but were sentient.

Human controlled robots just do not fit into my idea of Transformers.

6 TFs in Masterforce were Mindless Drones, the rest were alive

Sorry but that is 6 too much if you ask me. Transformers should be sentient, that is what Transformers is all about.

And even though I needed troops I would not trust Transformers bodies to humans. Too dangerous if you ask me.
