Personally I rather disliked those episodes. The dub was poor but so was the story.

 

They completely disregarded season 3 because they made Galvatron sane again. It started off cool but soon got downhill with Transformers having goofy names and stuff like that.

 

But I might even buy it as I buy everything on DVD.  :tftongue  They actually released the first few episodes in England. The DVD is for sale in The Netherlands as well.

 

First I want to see Beast Machines on DVD though. Any news on that?

Galvatron was cured by the Matrix in Retern of Optimus Prime remember? The cure was temparary though, as Galvatron got increasingly Crazier

In Rebirth he was still quite the insane leader he always was.

The Hate Plague made peaple Crazy, Galvatron was already crazy, the Matrix cure the Crazyness. Rmember at the End, when Galvatron stoped the cons from attacking becuse he thought Prime deserved some rest or something, would Crazy Galvatron do that?

At the end of ROOP, Galvy was saner than usual. In Rebirth, he seemed more angry than crazy. Besides in Japan he wasn't as crazy as here to begin with.

The Matrix is an immense source of power with many unexplained properties.

 

It's light cured Galvatron temporarily. But seeing how the Japanese apparantly do not look at the Matrix in the same way it could not have done that.

You mean season 3 in Japan was the US season 3. Then how did they miss Galvatron's insanity? Seeing as how they viewed the Matrix in Headmasters (that it was a "powerpack" and could be charged somehow) it could not have cured Galvatrons insanity.

 

And even though Rebirth may not be part of the Japanese continuity, the whole Japanese series does not fit into the US continuity. They say Cybertron was destroyed, well in Beast Wars it is still there.

I know Rebirth was cut from Japan, I was just trying to prove he was cured in both the states and Japan. I remember reading that in the Japanese dub Galvy was not quite as insane over here, but I guess they were wrong.

My bother bought me the vidio of transformers takara a couple of years ago gor my birthday... and as other people have said, the dubbing sucked... it had like 3 voice actors (I KNOW THE AMERICAN ONE USED THE SAME ACTOR S FOR MULTIPLE CHAERCTERS TOO) and they only had one bad voice each, and were completly out of sync wit hte animation,so you couldnt tell who was saying what, and most of the time you couldnt tell their emotion either, add that to the fact some of them had different names and personalities, i found it impossible to follow what was going on properly, so i hated it.

 

However, it'd be cool if one of the anime exporting companies, such as ADV (my fav), MVM, or Manga (a bit s**t, but beggers cant be chosers) could get their (often purvy) mits on em, they'd do these japeneese serieses justice. Watch RahXephon (ADV) or Nadesico (ADV) and u'll see how well a series can be dubed....
