as promised...this is a fun confiration to try btw...

I'm going to combine the unique limbs from Bruticus and devastator so i can have at least one e-combiner that consists of 5 unique molds. the question is which delux should i use for the main body. so far, i'm going with barricade since steamhammer has that shovel kibble on his left shoulder.

Go for Barricade. Steamhammer's altmode looks slapped together, and he's less stable in combiner mode. Plus Bruticus gets to have a different chestplate than the Barricade, they should've done that with everyone...

 

Same story as most others....Bruticus is overall the best. The copter guys are unfortunately the worst limbs out of everyone, though.

I love BRUTICUS. I think they are the best of the latest combiners. I'd like to have said SUPERION but as everyone else has already stated, that poppable chestplate just gives me odgeda! Oy! :tfpuke I do like SUPERION though and just wished he could be more like his brother BRUTICUS. DEVISTATOR NEO though I have no opinion on as of yet because I still as yet have to find the rest of their limbs.

 

And whaddaya mean the copter limbs are the worst? IMO I thought that they were pretty cool, especially for the fact that they used the most imagination for transformation than the others. :thumb :tftongue

I really like Bruticus, the only problem I have with him is the hands and feel fall off if you so much as breathe on them. The helicopters are the closest things to real hands that any combiner has so they make for better arms. Though I can't help but like the tanks as arms because they have more manuverability.

 

Constructicon is not bad at all. Of the 3 I got I'd say he's got the least problems in combined mode. All the bots make pretty solid limbs, nothing pops off or comes loose. He's just as solid as a rock. My only real complaint is the head not having a flat surface to sit on and if you don't make sure it's straight then you end up with a leaning head.

 

Superion...ugh!!! He looks nice but problems up the wazoo. Windrazor and Treadshot are excellent on their own but as limbs they just plain suck! It's a real pain to keep the hand/foot pieces from falling off. Terradive and Sky Shadow again, great individually but not that great for arms or legs. Though they do make for better legs, it's still hard sometimes to position him while trying to keep Superion from doing the splits. As for Storm Jet, too many bugs. First the rubber pieces, I HATE rubber pieces on any TF! Then, of course you have the hollow chest, the connector problem and sometimes the legs can be a real pain in a$$ to get on.

 

So by looks I rate them BM, CM, SM. By quality I rate them CM, BM, SM. As individuals they all rock so I need no reason to rate them.

I didn't find the same problem with BRUTICUS. My hands and legs are just solid. They fit well and stay in place. I will agree with SUPERION'S blaster pieces beeing difficult to keep in place and his/their obvious need to become Jean-Claude Van Damm in every single movie they've ever seen. In any case, I'm thinking (hopefully) this is only a fluke of the toy. Maybe a quick trip to the local toystore will alleviate our problems? A good exchange never hurts.

They did as far as I know. My local Super Wal-Mart had the complete E.Superion before I even had gotten into collecting energon figs. I think it was in November. Thats where I had to go to get him.

My favorite Energon gestalt is Superion (with my modifications).

 

Without my modifications, Bruticus is my favorite. I have the Japanese version. However, I have substituted Blight in Blastoff's place. I like the color difference.
