I said both, they wont give us a modern bug, but we could do a classic bug without the logos and get our bumblebee  I think they should still get licenses but screw the germans over as much as possible

Amen brother Smith. :thumb :pfx

There's still the question of what to do about those big-ass feet of his, though. IMO Bumblebee is one of those characters who you just can't screw up as an Alternator, b/c he's so iconic. He's got to be done right.

the answer is easy *puts on kitbasher hat* make him a trunk foot former and use the front end for shoulders/arms pop his head out of the firewall and colapse his cab and voila alternators bumblebee

and give him the toys head, it was cooler

Or give him the cartoon head with a face shield that makes it look like the toy head the same way they did in Dreamwave comics.

Of course, the front of the VW Beetle *was* the trunk, but I get what you're saying. :P I just really want to see Bumblebee done right. He's one of my favorite characters.

And you wonder why ToyFare hates him so much? :tfhuh

No, I just wonder what the heck you're talking about. :tfhuh

From an average fan's standpoint, of course they can.

From my standpoint, no, alternators better be of licesened cars.

From HasTak's standpoint, the entire line is marketed as a licesened-realistic car that transfrom into robot.......so the answer is No, alternators cannot use anything other than licesened cars.

*Null Votes*

Maybe they should start another line for the futuristic guys similar to the alts. They way can have both and Hasbro can keep the alts licensed cars.

how do you explain the "Jet" rumor if it proves to be more than a rumor?

1. it's a rumor

2. the jet will be base on a real jet.

My thinking is base on available facts. I'm no psyhic and cannot predict the future. But following current HasTak trends (where they literally plaster Alt's box with License name and car model), a non licesened car being used is low, very low.

I just had a long conversation with some friends over this idea. The general idea that came up is to have a second highly-detailed, articulated 1:24th scale line that showcased only Post-Movie characters. It would be a compliment to Alternators but it would have Hot Rod, Kup, Blurr, Arcee, Wreck-Gar, & Springer in there original modes but with more detail and more "realistic" transformation schemes.

Now do I think this will happen? No.

Would it be cool to have Hot Rod and others in their original modes but with better scuplting, articulation, and on the Alternators scaling? YES.

Now as I stand on it...there are very few Post Movie characters I want to see get the Alternators treatment: Hot Rod, Kup, Arcee, and maybe, maybe Blurr are the only ones.

I think that's the problem. There are precious few post-TF:TM toys that anyone would be interested in buying. Let's face it - that part of the G1 era is less well-known. And for good reason IMO. And is Hasbro gonna make a toy line that consists of 5-6 figures? I don't think so. I think they should just make an Alternators Hot Rod and Kup and be done with it.
