:::Double Post Cleared:::

Skywarp: "Whew' date=' glad he forgot about us!"

Thundercracker: "Yeah, no kidding."[/quote']

OK, you've got me here.

Smokescreen: "Hey' date=' so what are you guys talking about?"[/quote']

Remold.

Ratchet: "Or anything with minor remolds' date=' too. Thank got for that. G1 would have never succeeded that way."[/quote']

Remold.

Thrust' date=' Dirge, Ramjet: "Dead on!"[/quote']

Remolds, all 3 of them.

Hoist: "Let's all celebreate the mold purity of G1!"

Remold.

Red alert: "I'm not sure that's a good idea' date=' guys - I mean' date=' I'm nervous about the fan boys..."[/quote'']

Remold.

Prowl: "You guys still going on about this?"

Remold.

Inferno: "It's an old' date=' dead joke' date=' guys, let it go already."[/quote'']

Remold.

Ultra Magnus (quietly): "At least I got a new trailer."

As I said' date=' please try reading.

Stepper: "Hah! Such irony' date=' good thing the Japanese would never do that."[/quote']

Japanese Remold.

Artfire: "Agreed. Lame idea anyway' date=' as if people wouldn't catch on."[/quote']

Japanese Repaint.

Twincast: "Right' date=' no remolds and repaints through all of G1!"[/quote']

Japanese Repaint.

Soundblaster: "This is why Takara rules and Hasbro sucks!"

Japanese Remold.

Minvera: "Hi' date=' Guys' date='... um.. why are you looking at me like that?"[/quote'']

I guess you forgot Minerva was their version of Nightbeat? Therefore, even if I had included Japanese figures, your statement is still fundamentally broken.

More amusing' date=' though snide, remarks regarding later lines.[/quote']

You need to read, seriously, as I explicitly focused on the lack of repaints in G1 compared to the abundance in modern lines. Learn to construct an argument grounded in fact, present it civily, and then maybe you'll be allowed back outside of TFans someday.

Edit: Though, it was a good read I must say, better than your competitors at any rate :thumb

Seriously, man, I now know where I need to go if I want coal turned into diamonds! Lighten up, I obviously wasn't trying to slam you. It was a joke, not an argument. I left a lot out after all... Rewind, Eject, third wave minibots, pretender shells, micromasters, Action Masters... etc... repaints and remolds galore.

Also, Smokescreen is actually a direct repaint of Bluestreak... But that's not the point. Swerve, even what we've seen of him is still a remold, and isn't a straight-up repaint. It's something we've had in every single line for 20 years. Why did anyone every think that would stop now?

As for being allowed into places? That's a bit personal, but no biggie. The whole 'Glen' thing has been rather cathardic, and these days it's going to be about having fun rather than worry about my popularity with people I don't even know, won't really ever know, and don't really contribute to my well-being anyway. Selfish ? Yep, you bet - but, dammit, enjoying the franchise is suppose to be about having fun and not about these little squabbles.

Take a step back, and you see how silly it all really is to be worked up over stuff like this.

No, he's not. Smokescreen actually has a new bumper and a spoiler.

Hey, I appreciate the humor. I'd rather not argue over this either, cool?

Unless you're talking about the Mexican error version, he has a heavily remolded front bumper.

I'll be dipped.. you're right. GT versus street versions. Shows you how long it's been since I owned those two figures.

Didn't know about the Mexican one either, but that looks a bit fake since the '38' app is very different from the regular '38' app...

so getting back on topic (like that will ever happen)

anyone think that swerve is an apology alt for tracks being shortpacked... as a vette fan, it is Starscreaming (4 transforming vettes on my shelf, yesss)

just a thought,

it would have been nice to get alt zoom zoom though

I don't know. I just think they want to get another figure out before the license for that version of the Vette expires. I remember something about two repaints/remolds for each design, spread out over the license duration, but I really can't place where I heard that.

For Americans, Swerve would round out that three for this Vette design. Again, not my first choice for character, but the colors do look pretty good. I'll wait and see the head for him first, though. :)

As for Zoom Zoom? I'm a bit surprised we haven't heard anything about a Red release here... Wildrider with an inverted scheme (like Dead End).. I dunno. I wouldn't rule it out just yet until we know what comes after Shockwave. :>

it's the tracks character i like.. not the vette mold, swerve is lame because he's a third tier character at best.. it this is an appology, it's a poor one
