PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT PROBLEMS WITH THE LEGS......

THE PROBLEM IN MY AREA IS TRYING TO FIND THE COMPLETE SETS.

I HAVE YET TO FIND A WIDELOAD ARE BONECRUSHER FOR THE COMPLETION OF MY CONSTRUCTICON MAXIMUS . ALL THE WALL MARTS,TRU'S, TARGETS AROUND HERE ONLY HAVE STEAMHAMMER,DUSTSTORM AND SLEDGE. I HAVN'T EVEN SEEN B.CRUSHER AND W. LOAD ON EBAY. ALSO WINDRAZOR AND TERRERDIVE ARE NOT IN THESE SAME STORES YET THE OTHER THREE ARE. I,M ASSUMING THAT THEY JUST HAVN'T HIT THE SHELVES YET

CAN ANYONE CLARIFY?

I've seen the last two arielbots (put em on layaway, too), but the other limbs are still MIA. They should be out in the next wave, whenever that is.

And to clarify, I like the E. Combiners. They do beat the scramble city ones in just about everything. I just think they'd look better if their legs were a little farther apart, or their feet could sit flush on the ground w/o having to be in a running pose.

It's obvious to me that there are certain Combiner TFs which are meant to be legs, for example the tanks on Bruticus or the non-jet planes on Superion. The only one that confuses me is Buildron.

With Buildron/Devastator/Constructicon Maximus, whichever you prefer, it's supposed to be, in my opinion anyhow, the two cranes. They make much better legs than the bulldozers, which work better as arms.

the Sledge mold is GREAT for either...Terradive is also a good foot

The TransFormers Energon "old-school style" combiners look awesome! But are they really worth it? Is each figure good? I want some help on whether or not I should pick these up, since I'm not sure if I will be able to get all of them. Any opinions would be great.

On a similar note...what does everyone think of the KB exclusive micromaster constructicon things. Are those worth it at all?

the micromaster tfu line is great! i'd pick em up if you're into the whole micro tf thing... energon combiners? u mean like prime + wingsaber? thats worth it! its my fav combination... i havent picked up any other tf from energon except for wingsaber. i passed on superion and bruticus and the green guy (buildtron) *i really wanna start calling them by the japanese names cuz thats the only names i know them by lol*

you gotta ask yourself, whats it worth to you and why are you buying it?

edit: i have the sixturbo/defonsor set and the "devastator" set also... i like this repaint the best out of the micromaster line!!! we need more cons!!!!

Last week, I finally picked up the last two pieces (A3 and A4) to make a complete Superion Maximus.

Unfortunately, one of these has a crappy connector so the combined robot won't really stay together very well (that limb pops off at the slightest touch), which left me pretty underwhelmed with him as a whole.

I'll second dsrtek's opinion of the Micromaster combiners, I have the Constructicon's and they're great.

They are a mixed bag.

Some of the limbs, like Sledge and Sky Shadow, are freakin' awesome. Great robot modes, great alt modes, and as a limb they look really good.

Some of the limbs, like Duststorm, SUCK ASS. Whoever heard of a blue construction vehicle?!? Not to mention that his robot form SUCKS......

As for the body figures, Storm Jet, Steamhammer and Barricade, they are overall better than the limbs, but all have their weaknesses.

Storm Jet - Not the best alt mode, and has the infamous peg problem with keeping his or Superion's chest correct......rather floppy.

Steamhammer - Lame ass alt mode, but much better robot mode........his giant shovel hand notwithstanding. I also don't care for the combined robot mode's head......what is that, a go-bot?

Barricade - Best alt mode, but I do NOT like how they don't bother to totally cover up Barricade's head. He does NOT suffer from the other two main figure's problem in that their legs are rather tricky to plug into a limb for the legs of a combiner figure. His biggest problem, though, is that it's easy to flat out break Bruticus' head if you don't pop it off the two pegs on the back first.......something I did with my SL Onslaught figure.

Hopefully they will learn their lessons and apply them to the rumored TF: Cybertron Menasor figure.

Oh, I forgot about that.

Super annoying how the part you are supposed to hold onto to attach the leg slides down and blocks the linkage. ARRGH!!

The energon 5 pice combiners have advantages and disadvantages. Some make a pretty good bot by themsleves without having to combine. Some of them might not be the best but overall they are all worth it.
