Cybertron Starscream

Recommended Posts

Now that I know he gets bigger for a reason, i like him.

I still would rather have a 'Voyager' sized version with two blades.

I can't justify spending that amount at the moment.:tdown

While doing my weekly G1 re-issue clearance rumaging I finally picked up Skids at the TRU near me, (all I need is Richochet and he is still 34.99!) and checked out the Cybertron Isle and was impressed by the figures I saw. Prime was there as well as Megatron and Starscream along with all the other new bots which have been released. I must say these guys do look amazing, the pictures online do them no justice. I remember reading for the past few months of people complaining about the size of Cybertron Starscream. However, when seeing him next to both Prime and Megatron, the size issues don't really mean much. He's only a few inches taller than both megs and prime! I mean when you consider that Starscream is indeed a jet, last time I checked out a jet is  larger than an F1 race car (Megatron) or a Fire truck/Semi (Prime).  Scale wise, i really think this make a hell of a lot of sense, now i have read that in the story he is supposed to be upraded or somthing like that, but all that aside, I always thought that they should try to keep Transformers to scale with each other. I know scale was not an issue with G1 because they were different toylines put together to create a new one, but with these newer lines, i think Takara and Hasbro should try to keep an accurate scale when it comes to the characters vehicle modes. A Jet (Screamer) is always going to be bigger than a car (Megs), no matter if the car happens to be the leader. Remember, leaders aren't judged by their size, but by their leadership skills and oh yeah fire power.

I actually really like this figure. He is not a "brick" like everyone insitsts (but his arms look a little like flippers).

Great pics.  Dust that shelf.  Starscream doesn't seem to have a lot of articulation.

What I like the most is the very detaled face.

No, he doesn't have much but more then what I would define as a brick. I wish his waste turned and arms were a little more like Unicrons.

Thanks for the comments.

I am a little tired from work so help me out, is this sarcasm? Are you referring to the fuzzy pic or the actual figure?

I'd hope for a transformer this large his face would be quite detailed but I really don't think it looks any more detailed than a normal sized transformer....say....a G1 Cyclonus. (thats the first transformer i looked on my shelf).

so i will say yeah nice pics but yeah nice pics of a bad transformer :tdown

I think that Starscream is goign to be similar to Primal Prime, at first everyone was like WTF why did they make a repaint of a so-so figure.

Then when the comic told the story of the Wreckers, everyone was like OMG NITCHE TEAM LEADER, WE MUST AQUIRE!

They are definetly goign to play up the Supreme Starscream in the show as the Super Powered Decepticon....

Also I think if he ran cheaper people wouldn't be complaining about him as much...mainly because he's pretty much a direct homage to TFTM...

when I saw him at the store....he looks so sweet in the package...I plan on getting him, but it seems almost a waste to transform him. I will say this, when I saw him I almost wanted the mods to change my name to Supreme Starscreamer lol

I just picked up this guy.

Off the bat, I wanna say that my shelves wish they would release the "normal" sized one...

Still, I'm.. in the air about this fig. It is pretty much the smaller one, hyper-sized with a few tooling changes for convienance and the crown. I haven't gotten the electronics in place, so we'll see what that adds.

I'm really on the fence about him. One thing that's quite obvious: Gearing designed for a $20 fig, blown up to $50, become REALLY tight. It takes some serious force to get those gears moving.. which is probably good in the long run.

I do love the fact that his null ray cannon looks like a combination of Shockwave-Energon's cannon, and the Sister Ray. It looks sweet. =)
