Of those I have my favorite is by far Zoom-Zoom (also happens to be the last one I unpacked), but since he's a Binaltech Meister would be my favorite Alternator. Shockwave and Grimlock look promising but I'll have to get them first before I'll judge them.

 

I think my vote will be for Jazz. But wait a minute I forgot about Shock wave yeah.....actually that reminds me I'm holding out for this guy. How is  shock wave in comparison to Jazz. Did anything quality wise get lost in the mix making him a shockwave?

 

I was thinking of gettng him be cause he looks more "Believeable" per-say due to his more Robot non human looking head and the arm cannon. Also I really like the blue.

 

Well my high hope is for Shockwave!

Shockwave is the best IMO, I have them all including him and wheeljack (mechaneck ;)) he is just so much more detailed than Jazz, all the `upgrades` are cool and not OTT. He is just so nice, only thing that is a slight niggle is the thicker sills can get in the way slightly.

 

The paint is weird, it looks very vlue in the pictures but is quite purply in reality so should please most purists ;)

 

You gotta get this one even if the mold is a bit small for Shocks :(

On the shockwave was the arm/hood problem that I read about on the Jazz mold been improved in any way? Most reviews say that every thing on Jazz and ZoomZoom is great except for this thing with on of the arms poping off. Will this be the same with Shock wave.

 

What are the "thicker Sills"...what part is that?

 

On the paint job....is the paint on Shockwave more glossy or have metal flakes...anything added to make the mold look less "cheap" like the white Jazz?

 

If you can answer this that would be great!

The arm thing seems to be hit or miss. I have both a BT and Alt version of the Meister mold. On my Alt the arm is totally solid with no problems, barely brush the BT's arm and it falls off.

Cool....another Alt that is better made than a binialtech. What about the Shock wave how's his arms?

I guess it all depends on which ones you can actually find. Thus far I have Silver Streak, Sideswipe, and Hound. So far I really like Hound by far the best, and have high high hopes for Grimlock, Tracks, and Jazz. In the end I'd go with Grimlock as best because he looks as bad ass as they get, and I'm a sucker for mustangs. :clap

Now that we've seen a few more added to the line, the question must be raised again. Which is the best Alternator, overall, and why?

I still think the Mazda mold is the best.

 

Little robot visible in car mode, not too much car kibble in robot mode, posable, no oddly "empty" area (like the Mustang and some of the other molds when viewed from the side).

Alternator prowl because he is better than the Bt Version.
