The hood though looks a bit weird to me. Doesn't really flow with the rest of the fig.

Maybe instead of havin the roof form a shield, you should pop the hood off and make it the shield...

I kind of like the hood. And as you posted with the pic of the original skids, he did have a piece behind his head anyway. So the hood would be modern interpretation of the original windshield.

Thanks for all the feedback. I tried skids with the hood down as people have suggested and he looked good also. What I will do is take detailed photos asap of him with both hood variations and also I have 2 different foot configs which I'm trying to decide upon. As for the alt mode I don't think I'll be able to get a decent pic until he's closer to being finished. Aside from the hood and door the top half is all painted and finished now, just the bottom half I'm not sure about.

Just thought I would post some pics of my Skids custom. I started him a while ago but when I encountered some issues I put him away in a draw for a while. @ weeks ago I started looking at him again and now he nears completion. He is basically a heavily reworked alternators Smokescreen with a die cast Ford Focus SVT body mounted to it. All he needs doing now is a bit of painting, the doors attaching meister style and a handle attached to the roof so it can act as a shield. Will post bigger and better pictures when he is complete but just a couple of teasers from my phone camera in the meantime. Let me know what you think

what size is (was) the ford focus?? 1:24?

I like the bash,and I agree with everyone else. I would keep the hood down it just looks too odd having it up. I can't wait to get a better look at the leg transformation when its finished!
