  2. Well, so much for the plastic welder idea....Went to a couple places found with the store locator: 1st store: didnt have it. great work locator :P 2nd store: had it, but wouldnt sell it to me cause i wasnt a business. grr. Was tired from walking, and had more important places to go, so i gave up on checking the 3rd store. Oh well.
  3. Hey, that locator comes in handy, i found a place thats supposed to have it thats close to the bank, and i gotta head down there anyways.... :)
  4. Anyone able to take a pic (or find one) so i know what exactly to look for?
  5. Quick question, cant remember if i've asked this before, but i dont have time to search...the Plastic Welder stuff mentioned on the first page of the thread: where can i get it? Edit: ok, so searching is a good thing...someone else asked it, and the answer was walmart. Now, uh...where at walmart? (its so hard to find stuff, at least at the one here)
  6. I use tamiya super fast epoxy...or something like that, cant remember the exact name. Works nicely.
  7. Damn thats a good idea....i 'tested' my spraypaint on some pieces, and the dust was a pretty big pain. plus this way i wont end up with settled paint on my carpet again :D
  8. krylon crystal coat, eh? that in the same section as the fusion?
  9. first, check to see if it's gloss or flat (I made the mistake of picking up two mismarked cans myself). Also, you may not have had it shaken enough as you said. Additionally, make sure it's warm enough where you're spraying: moisture and temperature can seriously affect paint application. im gonna try buying a new can tomorrow, maybe that'll help. i need a better place to spray it though, i hadda vaccuum all the little paint particles that had settled on the floor UNDERNEATH 5 layers of newspaper. lol
  10. ...I want one. DAMN thats awesome.
  11. quick paint question: i been using krylon fusion paint for a custom alt, and at first it was going on smooth, but now its going on with a bit of a rough finish (i can hear the difference in the sprays)....is it cause the cans gettin empty, or am i not shaking it enough, or what?
  12. Can't wait man. :thumb I'll 2nd that. :D
  13. So far i've just used it to put a 'cap' on a piece i cut off of alt sideswipe's foot ...so no stress there :D
  14. Well i was at my local grocery store yesterday, and the hardware section had some Elmers super fast Epoxy "reduced to clear"...so i bought some, and tried it out. That stuff works damn nicely for attatching pieces...but it reeks to no end. lol :P
  15. I just bought a big 5 foot by 5 foot sheet of styrene from the Plastics store here in town...kinda expensive and in an inconvienient size, but NO ONE around here sells the small packs. Either way, i used some last night, and it works pretty well. :)
