Not really, The hinges on the chest piece have one very small area to mount on the cab. What I could do is bring the area around the chest piece to make it more flush.

Don't get me wrong, that's an A+ kitbash and I wouldn't be able to do any better....

But the one criticism I have is that his stomach area looks weird. I'm not sure if the buttons are too big, or too high, or something.

I realize that piece is a flat surface, but if there was any way to make the panel include a torso that resembles the WMD drawing, it would rock. I've attached a very quick photoshop of what I mean. I'm not sure if this is the same thing guld_goa_bowman was getting at too.

o0 That is soo AWESOME!

Holy cow! That is really good.

As for the cassette bots, maybe one of them could be one of those storage bins that people often put in their truck beds.

Hooray! The first Alternator truck. This will open the way for millions of new figures to see the light of day!

From the waist down it looks like the Sideswipe mold. Not what I was expecting, but whatever works! Great job! :clap

Not really I did the first truck Alt kit bash my Rodimus Prime.

And now the cap.

Great job!! :thumb but the torso seems alittle wide... the waist where the buttons are.. would look better if it's positioned lower... U know.. where the legs are connected to the body... ;)

Love the truck mode, looks amazing, and the bot mode is ok...i really dislike the face though. I'm not a big fan of the G1 toy's face in the first place though. :P Great job overall :D

Alt mode is perfect. As for the bot mode, overall, that looks great as well... the waist section is aggreeably awkward... here's my suggestion for a quick fix. Why not try just making the buttons on the lower half of the panel, and leaving the rest of the panel blue? Here's a quick photoshop of what I'm suggesting, which shows that it would make the buttons more properly proportioned to the rest of his chest area. The window/tape door is still too small to be a perfect homage, (not much could change that, really) but I think the blue dead space would be less awkward looking than the oversized tape buttons. Just my opinion...

Hey Rodimus VTS, Hurry up and finish Rodimus Prime so Soundwave will have someone else to beat up. j/k

I really like your kitbash. The idea of using the bed as a platform works perfectly for Rodimus. I can't wait to see it finished.

The head is one of my proudest accomplishments with this kitbash. I was debating rescuplting Sideswipes head or having someone else make me one. But at work I found this piece of hard rubber that was the perfect size for the head. Using the G1 toy I took measurements and hand carved the head using an Xacto knife. Besides I've always been partial to the G1 toy head.

Thanks for the compliments everyone.
