i've been lucky enough so far to get my rodimus and prowl figures but they were the only ones there at the time i got them. why are wave 2 figures so hard to come by (except for the basics)? is it just that stores are really slow in getting them or are they just not producing as many of them? i've been searching for the better part of a month now and i've seen very few of them (actually the only ones i've seen are the ones i got). of course after i finally get them all i'm sure stores will probably have them sticking out of their ears! :wtf

You've probably got to look at the demographics of your area. Where are you located? How populated is the area you live in? How many Wal*Marts/Targets/Toys R Us's are in your area? I live in Utica, NY. I have 2 Wal*Marts within 10 minutes of one another, 1 Target, 1 KMart, 1 Toys R Us, and 2 other Wal*Marts 20 minutes away (Herkimer/Rome NY). As of today, you can't go through any of the above stores without tripping over Transformers.

What exactly are you looking for? E-Megs?

If he is, I'll keep the fact that the Wal-Mart where I got mine had eight when I dropped in..........

i'm in the western burbs of chicago, lots of stores with lots of nothing!!! in one day i went to 2 toys r us, 2 walmarts, and 2 targets and none of them had anything. actually plenty of wave 1 still there. i check like every other day and it seems like they never stock anything new. i ask but of course nobody will check in the back to see if they have any in the stockroom. the closest target and walmart have been nearly empty for awhile and nothing new has been stocked.

i did manage to find the basic wave 2 easily enough and the prowl and rodimus i only saw one time each, both i bought when i saw them. got a megs too. i'm just wanting a snowcat now. i just would have thought that by now i would have seen more of them around especially considering the waves 1/1.5 were never hard to find at all.

i was just curious if others were finding them as difficult to find as me and if there was a reason why it's taking so long to see more of them out.

but looking at the brighter side of things the walmart closest to me STILL has 5 smokescreens and 1 sideswipe alternator ringing up for $12.00ea.....i dunno if thats a lingering computer error or if that walmarts are just trying to sell them out as fast as they can. but i sure ain't complaining :clap :thumb

......now if i can only get some cash together to stock up on them!!!

I saw a commercial late yesterday afternoon during Yu Yu Hakusho. It was for Wal-Mart and it said that Megatron is only available there.

I thought Hasbro wasn't gonna be doing that with Wal-Mart any more because of the way Wal-Mart is crushing every store int he insudtry, and was gonna be more supportive of other stores. Looks like Hasbro lied.

There was a discussion about this on the Allspark a few weeks back, and what we had concluded was that probably Walmart got it first, so there were allowed to mention it specifically on advertisements.

Snowcat isn't too hard to find I've consistently seen him when I go hunting. If you are in dire need of one, let me know via PM and we can work something out where perhaps I pick one up for you.

Wal-Mart sounds like it's now engaging in the same tactics console makers use with game makers: get them to hold back the releases of certain items from competitors so they can have time to sell it first. It's called a "time exclusive," and I consider it to be highly unethical because, by the time the competitors are mercifully allowed to have it, there's always the chance that the market for it can be dried up by then. That hurts other retailers because they'll usually get an item in stock just in time for it to not even matter any more; combine that with Wal-Mart's illegal under-cutting below cost, and that's definitely an unethical advantage Wal-Mart has. They're usually done when a given company fails to get a given item exclusively.

I am also disappointed in Hasbro because they said they were gonna start supporting other stores to help save them from Wal-Mart, only to give Wal-Mart a time exlcusive? Hasbro is talking out of both sides of it's *ss now.
