This armor will detach and store in the base deck for the new car carrier design I am making.......I am not going to start making the trailer until the armor is first done.

Soda, that is some excellent work you are doing. How are you creating the plastic parts? (Kitbash dummy here.)

I am custom cutting all pieces and bonding them together......When I get to doing the head, that is going to take a while, since there is going to be SO many small pieces to be glued and sanded together.

You can save a lot of time and effort by looking for items that can be used in the making of UM's helmet. The "stack" pieces can be made from tube styrene, while the face can be taken from another large-scale transformer. In fact, you way want to take a look at the original UM's head, even if only for reference. As for the rest of the helmet, try looking in the crafts department of your local store. you might find something you can use in building it.

I thought I would spoil all of you some more with some pics of the updated work on the chest armor detailing.....

Enjoy!

Could you possibly get somebody to cast your pieces for remold when you're done, or would that ruin them? (obviously for charge, I guess)

BTW - it looks great so far

Hi folks, I decided to take a break from the actual body armor because I have really been wanting to work on the face.......Here it is after I initially got it cut and shaped right before I sanded it down.

Enjoy!
