What was your first Transformer?

 

1984 - Trailbreaker. Broke him in half. :(

1998 - Optimal Optimus. First in my current collection. Still mint, if not a bit dusty. (well, complete!!)

 

When did you realize you were a TF "fanboy" ?

When I finally bought BW Scavenger after poo-pooing him for months. (he's now one of my favorite beast era TFs.)

 

 

Was Optimus Prime sitting under your Christmas Tree?

Nope. Jewish. :) seriously, i forget how i got him. I know i'm on my 4th one - got him when i was 7, he broke, i had him replaced, then years later had a g2 one, now i've got a g1.

 

Where were you when you saw the show for the first time?

Basement on a Sunday morning. it was on at 10:30 AM.

 

 

Embarrassing story - I wish i could say i was young and stupid, but i was 20-21 at the time, so not Y&S enough - I stole Optimus Minor. Half cuz he looked kinda silly but i wanted it, half to see if i could. with an exacto blade, i cut open the bubble, severed the ties, and lifted the monkey. From Rite Aid.

My first "Transformer" was that Wendy's Kids' Meal Go-Bot Pow-Wow. I was young as hell, but my parents could see i liked it, and picked up more for me.

When did I realize I was a fanboy? When I found all these web-sites.

Isn't Optimus Prime Jewish? But yeah, he actually was under my Christmas tree. Powermaster Prime, actually. That toy was amazing.

I can't remember when I first saw the show, but I remember renting the movie from Blockbuster every weekend and just watching the city transform over and over.

When I was about 5 I was "engaged" to the girl down the block. She told me she was going to divorce me though because I paid too much attention to PM Optimus Prime. I threw him in the trash to prove my love, but half an hour later ran home crying because I thought he was lost forever. Thank god the trashman only comes once a day.

Transformers is pretty great, you think so too or you wouldn't be reading this site.

 

That or you are a female trying to understand what your BF/Hus is so interested in.

 

We all have plenty of fond memories of those giant bots, those cool chunks of metal and plastic in our hands.

Oddly enough G1 Megatron{the gun version},my uncle gave it to my grandfather for his birthday and he in turn gave it to me.Had it for a year before I learned it could transform. :redface

When I continued to view a few amount of things in term of TFs, and being at my sisters over the summer and watching Energon for the first time helped as well :D

 

Where were you when you watched the show for the first time?

 

It was Beast Wars. I was getting ready for school, and just watching some TV, and saw a gorilla change into a robot. I probably watched the G1 show with my older sister when I was a baby, but if I did, I wouldn't remember it. Such the sorrow of having a baby's brain.

 

All in all, it's been an on and off thing, but this summer was the true turning point watching Energon.

My first Transformer ever was Hoist.. been a favorite character of mine pretty much since then.. Prime followed shortly after...

 

Prime WAS under the christmas tree.. I just got Hoist a few days early..

 

I don't really consider myself too much of a fan boy.. because I have many other interests besides JUST this.. so this is just a side hobby next to other stuff..

 

I don't remember the first time seeing the show.. I was what.. 3 years old when it first started? I just remember watchin it somehwere around Season 2 premovie. Ahhh good times those were..

My First Transformer? Hmmm I've been trying to remember that but I believe my first was bumble bee then I got frenzy and my brother got lazerbeak. :tdown I was down because I wanted Lazerbeak instead.

 

Where was I? On the floor of our livingroom playing with my transformers and gobots on a beautiful sunny day. :thumb

 

Prime under the tree? Nope but got a carrying case with "Sludge" in it.

 

Story? I think everyone has had that one present that would make or break their entire christmas, or hanikah *however it's spelled*, childhood for them. and mine was Devestator. I didn't care if I got nothing else I just wanted Dev, and I ended up with kickback and some "real" Ghostbuster toys. :fire :madckn

 

Bootleg in Wv? Awsome! Nice find! I got a Armada Unicron in box when it just came out for $17, and my friend got a reissue Ultra Magnesin box for $7 :D

Where were you when you saw the show for the first time?: I remember watching it on Fox when i was really young, but it didnt really appeal to me, THEN i saw Beast Wars on TV about a month after and i fell in love with the line. I was at my grandparents house.

it was either Scoop, The seacon manta ray, or some minibots.  I dunno.  it was 88 or 89.

Freshman year of high school, when i realized 1) i knew more than anyone around me and 2) I was embarrased to admit it.

yes, but he was for my brother.  I got him later as a hand me down.

my dad was the one who got me into transformers in the 80's.

but whe i got grown and my dad past away, i found the powermaster prime he got me and at the same time beast wars was airing on tv.

i made a vow to collect every prime lol
