i say go for the takara reissues. Thats how i started mines, and get the ones that cant be reissued hehe. You need to have omega supreme in your g1 collection :tflaugh

Some of these make sense, but if predaking got a reissue almost anything could IMO.  What makes you say no Sky Lynx or Jetfire?

 

Predaking is a post-movie toy, and if you've read everything that I posted this means that they were developed by Has/Tak for the Transformers brand and not just borrowed, so that's why they were able to reissue it.

Last I checked Sky Lynx was a post-movie toy, as well..yes, I did read your comments, they seem to contradict themselves, so I questioned them... :wtf

Don't worry about it, man... if you bump a thread, you catch crap, and if you start a new thread, you catch crap for not just posting in the old thread. It's a no win situation. General rule for me is if the first two pages don't have a thread on what I want to discuss, I'll start a new one. Let the mods search for the old thread and merge them, that's why we have mods! :tflaugh

 

BTW, I still want to be a mod, so if I get the job, I'll take over that duty myself. :thumb

Thanks Zero. It's nice to see a friendly face in the crowd. I just want to discuss transformers like anyone else here.

 

I think now more then ever is the best time to be collecting transformers with all the different options (re-issues, repaints, Energon, Robot Masters, Alternators etc).

 

What is your favorite line running currently? I say a toss-up between re-issues (love those originals) and Alternators. I like Energon but the color schemes sometimes annoys me (Omega Supreme & Grimlock & Swoop). I like the posable aspect of Energon but I am a die-hard G1 fan.

 

The re-issues are great for people like me who had my transformers given away by an evil parent (my dad lol). I still had about 30 of my original figures but ones like Shockwave, Galvatron, Cyclonus, Metroplex (my original I got two new ones in the past year) & Trypticon are all gone for good. I think I am most heart-broken by Sky Lynx being gone. I got the bird figure/Shuttle now but it is in bad condition and don't have the blue part/beast.

 

Two of my favorite buys in the original line (I bought in the last year or so) is a working Blaster in perfect condition and a complete c-8 & Sunstreaker with all parts & accesories (never had him before in my original collection and he was always a fav of mine).

Honestly i'd just get the reissues and only for select characters not all of them.

 

1- Prime & Hotrod

2- Megs

3- Soundwave or Soundblaster

4- Prowl or Sideswipe

5- Starscream

6- Blitzwing or Astrotrain

7- Insectacons (if you even like them)

8- one gestalt of your choice

 

And I'd add only two G1 originals, Metroplex and Fortress Maximus.

 

Lastly, I'd strongly advise you get RID figs too, especially Prime, Scourge and Megs. Oh and if you like Omega Prime check the pics at Remy's site, get Magnus otherwise Prime IMO is good enough. Pm if you got questions.

I wasn't trying to be rude, so I appologize if you took it that way. I just noticed that you had bumped a few older threads across the board, and wanted to make sure you didn't go on an old-thread bumping spree.

 

Like GZ said, If you don't see your topic in the top 40 threads (2 pages) of a forum, start a new one. That way the new thread is pertinent and cohesive, and likely won't be an exact rehash of what was said before. Than threads can die a natural death, and be rightfully buried in TFans' molten core :tftongue.

 

I was also trying to (comedically) direct you to our spam forum, INH (Insert Name Here), but that obviously didn't play out too well. :redface

 

 

 

...BTW, the search function is best when it comes to seeking concrete info that has probably been mentioned earlier (e.g., what color were G1 Scorponok's claws?), but not the best function for continuing topics of open discussion.

Be careful with the Superion KO.. so far out of the 4 different sets I got, it was the worst. The really good ones are the Defensor and Devastator sets. Almost as good as the real thing. :tflaugh
