Finally starting (re starting?) G1 Collection

My want list -

.

I'm working on a solution to all your woes, Joe. :thumb

As for your question about Perceptor, if you don't have him yet, go ahead and get him now for the $35. The reason I say that, is he is going for that much or more for an original anyway, and you might as well get one that's mint fresh as opposed to 20 years old, loose and dirty. Besides, he helps complete the G1 Season 1/2 bots lineup, and looks pretty show accurate, as opposed to most of the other bots from that time period. Play value isn't great, but it's not bad either.

So I take it that the only Transformers that go down in price are the Hasbro releases, and with how slow they are I'd have to wait forever for Perceptor to be one of them? I feel the same as you about reissues vs G1. Why buy an old one with missing/broken stuff when a reissue has everything (usually) that the original did and is in mint condition?

lol Thanks for working on my problem. I take it you are referring to the Transformers that I am missing? It breaks my heart that I no longer have Sky Lynx (well I have a $10 bird/shuttle version only now) Omega Supreme (non-working tank & Rocket only) and no Shockwave or Jetfire to speak of.

Fortress Maximus might be out of my price range lol. I have Trypticon & Scorponoks in bad shape without parts, weapons etc but use them for base mode only so I would like to get versions of them complete for their robot modes and to add accesories/weapons to the city modes (I did this with 2 Metroplexs).

Galvatron/Grimlock/Swoop are ones I want but not as much as the others listed here. Wheeljack/Trailerbreaker are figures I NEVER had (must sound strange to some of the bigtime collectors here). I think they might be reissued though so I will wait and see on those two.

It still breaks my heart that my dad gave away some of my favorite stuff. I think he thought I wasn't using them so he would make some kid happy, but damnit they were mine! lol

Thanks Zero you are a true hero. I appreciate your kindness. :thumb

I was talking more about the problem of "bump vs. New Thread"... click the word "solution" in my last post. :tflaugh :thumb

I see what you mean Zero. You are right. Just cause a member is new does not mean we shouldn't be allowed to discuss things mentioned before. I support a forum for this. It beats being rude and turning off new member.

As for my G1 collection I broke down and ordered a Macross Jetfire for less then $50 mint and in box. They have a big sale on Macross stuff at the Gundam site. I didn't see if it came with all the armor and stuff but it was Die-cast and did look like Jetfire in both Robot and Jet mode (& had the gun) despite colors being off. One plus is that where the stickers would be it is painted instead of stickers so no worries about worn stickers.

Aren't the Hasbro reissues die-cast as well?

Some of the Hasbro reissues are pretty high right now. Op. Prime, Ultra Magnus, Starscream are the best sellers after a month of current research.
