Starscream's ghost BW

Recommended Posts

i agree with most other people that he did not know he was on earth seeing as hes never seen prehistoric earth with the 1 big continant(sp).

Wrong!

The one big continent (Pangea) started drifting apart a loooooonnnnnngggggg time before the TF ever got to Earth. The last parts drifted apart around 65 million years ago. The Ark only crashed about 4 million years ago, so Pangea didn't exist for at least 61 million years when Starscream took over Waspinator.

We can try to make fancy solutions for it all, but the simple truth is that at the time the episode was written the main writers hadn't yet thought up the later story arc. It wasn't determined yet the BW was on pre-historic earth. (Spoilsport :D )

good job i dont teach history then

What I don't understand is why Starscream had an immortal spark. It's a cool idea and all, but unless he's some kind of fluke, it just shouldn't be possible. Techincally, Rampage should not be dead either.. and going back to TM2 Dinobot, he should be alive and kicking as well.. if that was true.. but thats my theory.. Unless raw energon is the one weakness to an immortal spark.. never mind Galvatron's BFG :tfevil

The better question is, why was he aghost. since he got his body back, just got sent spinning off into space.  I doubt the few blasts from Galvatron killed him AGAIN.  The episode we are discussing seems to ignore the events in season 3, as BA just says "You got blasted by Galvatron for being a traitor".  This happened in the movie.  Again, a minor detail, I am probably opening a whole can of worms with this.  Beast WArs rules

It's RETCON TIME!! :D

Starscream could have come back to Earth between the time Galvatron destroyed him and when he got his new body from Unicron. Still though, a spark floating around in space... I recall that Rhinox said that Optimus Prime's spark would have unable to survive without a body. Why not? Everyone else's could... :P Well, okay -- it was an easy way to explain Primal's second upgrade. :tfgrin

Wow, that makes too much sense. Wish I thought of it. Cool

Yeah, that thing about Starscream was a BW extrapolation. And you're right about Rampage / Dinobot: doesn't "indestructible" mean... indestructible? Maybe his spark was weakened when Megatron split it in half (after all, he said that the procedure would have killed anyone else).

Ooh I love retcon. :D

you have to remember that Starscream was the ONLY transformer to return as a ghost.. EVER

That's new for me. What year did that happen?

1987 japan, he was part of headmasters, but one could argue that he isn't a real ghost, he is just using the Matix and/or Victer Sigma to progect his Image

I say Alpha Trion's image/ghost is not directly related to the matrix.

Prime was on his way to the Vector Sigma chamber when he ran into

Alpha Trion. Prime was not carrying the Matrix at this time. Hot Rod/Rodimus

was searching for it and was planning to get it to Prime once he recovered it.

The Vector Sigma theory sounds like the best explanation.

Wasn't he part of Victer sigma by then?
