Apparently quite a few...

Probably, instead of "haters," a better description would be "those that prefer Alternators" (for what ever reason: no paint to scuff, price, etc.)

Me... I like both.

I have the yellow version. I think he rocks and I've had no problem with him.

I have a few Alts and a few Binaltechs, and try and buy the original mold as the metal version and the repaint as the plastic one.

So far have Alternator Silverstreak, Deadend, and Blue Tracks. Never had a problem with any of them.

In the Binaltech Department I have Smokescreen #7, Sideswipe, Yellow Tracks (kitbashed into Sunstreaker), Hound, Meister, and his counterpart ZoomZoom. God I hate that name.

But for all the Binaltechs, they have have been transformed once or twice and they have yet to show any wear and tear from paint chipping.

The only thing that I have run into so far is the Arms on Meiter and Zoom come off quiet easily.

However, that's a problem with the Alt Meister as well. Both my Alt and BT have that same issue. The BT's got the magnets on the steering mechanism, which I prefer to the pegs in holes technique in the Alt. Both, however, also have the problem of the "steering bar" falling out all the time.
