I apologize...

Didn't have a hard time transforming Tracks, but it's been hell trying to transform Smokescreen back into alt mode after I straightened his legs. It's so hard to bend them properly especially since I have the BT version and have to worry about accidentally scratching it or breaking something off. That's one point for Alt lovers.

Never had problems with my Alt Tracks.. or are you talkin about BT Tracks.. :tfhuh

I preffer the Alts myself.. nothin against the Diecast versions, I think it's cool to see that kind of stuff in operation again.. 'least TF wise. But the cost doesn't justify it for me. $50 for a TF no bigger than an ultra is a lot of money. I could buy atleast 2-3 alts with that. To me it's a no brainer.

Would like to get Zoom Zoom and Banana Tracks though.. maybe someday.. **opens wallet and watches moths flutter out**

is this the Blue one or Yellow?

He said he got a hood sticker ... I think only the blue BT comes with that sticker.

Correct. The sticker is just with the blue one.. it's a special addition thing.

I prefer BINALTECH just for the collecting reasons and the paint done on the BT's are usually done supurbly. I'd have to say though just for playability reasons the ALTENATORS make more sence than anything. I have both and noticed many of the differences in the way both toys were treated by both HASBRO and TAKARA. Indeed the TAKARA version is ment to be more or less more of a collectors grade toy hence the hefty price of the figures (I guess the train of thought of this is, "You'd better be damn sure that you want to start collecting these because we don't plan on bringing the price down anytime soon"), and would look great as just that...in a display case.

I get the thought that HASBRO not only wanted to make a figure that was not only playable, but was better for customizing as well, as there are a lot of Kitbashers out there that would love nothing more than to alter these figures without the worry of killing a more expensive toy. In some ways, I tend to think that they gain some inspiration by the toys that are created by the toys that are displayed on sites such as this. I know one of the reasons that I started collecting ALT's was to learn a little about toymaking and customization.

I love them both. :thumb :tftongue

what's the last diecast toy that you had that didn't chip? hot wheels, maisto's...all of them chip.

Other than the hood edges on Lambor (the only other one I have issues with), none of my other BTs have chipped at all. I can't help thinking a plastic version would be MUCH easier to unclip the legs initially off of, since I think all the leg pegs are metal...I'm also worried about chipping the hood and front fenders since it gets whacked around while I'm trying to force the legs off. Ah well, I guess I feel better in that it isn't just me (although some people seem to be luckier).

And yes, it's blue BT Tracks here.

Yeah, I do think I was in the wrong mentality. I'm a terrible fidget, so a cheaper toy for fiddling with would've been more suited to me than a collector's model. I was sucked in by Smokescreen's priiiitty paint.

Hopefully Grimlock will be an improvement.

Binaltech yellow Tracks and white Meister are the two Binaltech vehicles with the most complaints on their paintjob problems. However, I won't switch over to Alternators based on that alone. I'm okay with both Alternators and Binaltech, choosing between the two toy lines on a case by case basis.

Well, I'm one of the lucky ones who has been able to buy both for the ones I like. I love transforming these guys, so I buy Alts for that. they're less likely to get screwed up by being transformed. However, the BT's look SO much better on a shelf than the Alts do. The BT's are just a joy to behold and then there's absolutely no comparison when you actually hold on e of them. The die-cast makes all the difference. Still, I keep the Alts at my desk at work and BT's at home in my office.

I have one of each so far , one Bt and one Alt. i keep my Alts MIb. The Bt's look much better specially Smokescreen and Sideswipe in Car mode. As for the chipping, ive only seen very little on Sideswipe. So what? real cars get chips too, SOLUTION: Touch up paint. :clap
