My complaint to hasbro about E. Dinobots

Recommended Posts

The only problems with my Jazz were that his door extensions were loose, and his left shoulder wasn't strong enough to hold his shield up.

Clear nail-polish top-coat fixed both of those right up.  :thumb

As for the requested picture of my Mega Dinobot (henceforth referred to by me as Dino King).. I'll try to post one or three this weekend.

Shield? What shield? Did I miss something? As for the doors, where do you put the clear polish at? Pics of that too, please... (This shield idea has me intrigued...)

The polish goes on the runner-track (where the pin slides back and forth on the black inside of the door). Just put a couple light coats along the inner edge of the runner, until the extension stops sliding freely (i.e. you can pose it and it won't slip back on its own).

Move the extension to one end of the track and coat it, then when it's dry, slide it all the way to the other side, so you can coat the rest of the track.

And here's Jazz with his shield:

the other day i was reading ppls complaints about the backwards legs on... i think its stormjet, and so i figured i'd write in a complaint about the E. Dinobots:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i bought the new energon dinobots and grimlock is good, but swoop sucks. swoops arms don't lock into place so when playing with him the arms are all over the place. the super dinobot mode that grimlock and swoop have is even worse, grimlock doesn't connect to swoop all that well, he just usually falls right off, not such a super dinobot. in his mode you can't do much with the toy besides want to throw it at the ppls that made it. you.

STOP THE CRAP.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

so that was my letter. :tftongue . i know its not all that friendly, but its how i feel. cuz the dinotbots are cool, but like swoops arms don't lock in place, and super dinobots is... its more of a feeling, the best word to describe is BLAH :puke .

so this is what i got back from hasbro:

Thank you for contacting us. We appreciate your taking the time to share your opinion with us.

Consumer satisfaction is very important to us. We will share your comments with our management team so that they are also aware of your views.

Since our ultimate goal is to bring happiness to the consumers who use our products, and certainly not disappointment, under separate cover we will be sending you a coupon for you to use when you purchase your next Hasbro product.

We want to assure you that we are dedicated to maintaining quality products and service. We hope you and your family will enjoy our products for many years to come.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

and at the bottom of the email is says:

"Status: Solved "

sure the coupon is gonna be nice, but i really don't feel its all that solved the toys is still what it is. so come one ppls. complain. give them hell. don't do it cuz you expect a coupon. this isn't the first time i've done complaints. and it won't be the last. if my stormjet has backwards knees.... OH HELL :demon .

Please don't tell me that that's exactly what you wrote in your letter to Hasbro, it makes me cringe... This just makes you sound like a petulant kid... they probably gave you the coupon, which they didn't have to do, in the hope that you'd just leave them alone, and not turn up at their offices and throw rocks.

When you write to a company, they'll actually pay attention if you write in a professional style and not like someone who's been in school for about a year...

yes, thats exactly what i said, why does it have to be professional? its not like i'm one of them, and if i was i would have told them the same at work in the design room. they push these things out to the stores and expect them to be good and satisfy the ppls who pay for them. they are the ones with all the power to make them good, i have no part in design. so since its like a case of stubborn parents (hasbro) that are making their kids deal with something they've decided, i shall be that petulant child. :stone

and i'll get some picks and put them up soon. just not in the mood to do it right now cuz that means turning the 2 bots into that terrible mess of a super mode

Just picked up the set today. It does seem problematic, somehow as if they threw in the combining mode as a last-second addition, though the extra head on grimmy obviously says otherwise. Still, it seems that they could easily have come up with a modification that made it the same as all other Energon "pants/shirt" combiners...

And, yes, I know this was meant for Universe, not Energon...

What's the email address to send complaints to Hasbro? I've got a few opinions that need voicing... (And I could use a coupon for G1 Riccochet, too... damn he's expensive compared to teh others! :) )

Trust me when I say that if you write a letter like you did, the company could care less about what you have to say. It's not in a format that is easily readable, ie the non capitalized words. Writing a letter of ANY kind should be done "professionally". The company will actually consider your opinion then, that is, if someone actually goes through and reads them. And your last sentence "STOP THE CRAP" instantly turns your whole message off no matter how you write it.

I work for a less than popular arm of the UK government... and when I get an illiterate, whinging letter like yours, I make damn sure that the sender learns that it's a good idea never to write a letter like that again.

Perhaps it's a life lesson.

Bah... leave the guy alone... it's Hasbro. They are geared specifically to whiny little kids... it's doubtful they'd even understand a letter written "properly"... If we all write them letters in crayon, with the occasional backwards capital "R" in the middle of a word, we're probably alot more likely to get the attention we want. Hell, put a few pieces of candy in the envelope, and they might even actually redesign the Dinobot two pack for us. Can't hurt to try...

*grabs Crayola box and starts writing*

Can the dinobots have energon chips?

I don't think so.
