The Armada verse has outlasted G1

Recommended Posts

This thread isn't about G1 vs. Armada

it is about Armada outlasting G1 and that is crap! the origional G1 cartoon was still going strong untill HAASBL0W took away 3H's liscence(via the Universe and Wreckers comics) and if the Universe line gets canceled we proabably wont see new comics and G1 will ofissialy be dead.

Even with its c0ck-rock metal movie, G1 couldn't outlast the best Transformers era of all time..

ARMADA...

Energon, continuing Armada's era, has outlasted G1 in every possible way...

Take that, disgruntled outdated past-clinging fanboys!

Superlink is a pretty piss poor spin-off of the Micron series. Woo. If that's something that makes you smug then you're a much sadder creature than I already knew you to be. If intellectually bankrupt, badly animated TV shows are what flip your switch then you're welcome to 'em.

G1 was still a better show in spite of all its faults or else Micron/Superlink wouldn't try so hard to be just like it and the Beast Era spanks the current stuff like a bad monkey, but apparently it's too taxing to have decent voice actors, voice direction, writers who don't snort dran-o and at least utilize computer animation that's up to par.

The DW comic is pretty good though and the toys are pretty freakin' cool, but the TV series is a sad state of affairs when we have a half-assed dub of some already dumbed down for brain donors kids' show that Superlink fanboys (GASP! Like Bodycount!) try to pass off as the work of the bard in terms of its signifigance to the rest of the franchise.

I can't wait for the TF movie to bring the series back to where the talent is, because despite their work as master toy-smiths, they sure suck when it comes to the Transformers series.

tell that to Victory, Masterforce and Zone.

3H dropped the ball, it's their fault. And G1 won't die, it lives on in the Dreamwave comics and in Armada/Energon homages. Fact is, Armada/Energon has not outlasted G1. Beast Wars/Machines lasted longer than Armada/Energon.

Indeed. The OTFCC comics are a very, VERY small part of the greater G1-iverse. :thumb

but they were still adding more stuff to the Cartoon Mythos. rather than Rewritng and Rehashing them like DW perfers to do.

riiiight, since stuff like Sunstorm possessing the power of Vector Sigma or the entire War Within series are just rehashes :roll And Universe only expanded upon Beast Wars, the only thing G1 related is Primus, Alpha Trion, and Unicron. The rest is Beast Wars/Machines, plus characters/repaints from RID/Armada.

And let's not get off topic, shall we.

In regards to whether Haskara is pleased with the Armadaverse cartoons or not, please keep in mind that the Armadaverse was originally slated to be 3 series long. That plan remained intact at least until this past summer, but for whatever reason Takara has decided to drop the Micronverse storyline for the upcoming line. This sort of break in plan is not an indication that things were going A-OK. And while it's been said that Hasbro is still going to try and fit Cybertron into the Armadaverse, had they really felt strongly regarding this version of the fiction, they'd have pressured Takara to stick with the Micronverse as well (they do have the influence to do so - the Golden Rule states that he who has the gold, makes the rules, and Takara hasn't had much in the way of gold since the mid-90's). I'd say that the Armadavers/Micronverse isn't quite up to snuff as far as Haskara is concerned.

So for those who really like Armada/Energon, enjoy it while it lasts. I for one will watch my BW DVD's and look forward to the G1 movie coming out in 2006, and then the G1 movie-linked cartoon (written by westerners like most movie-linked cartoons) with their G1-movie linked toys, and patiently wait for the G1 movie sequel, then its cartoon (which will probably just be a continuation of the existing G1 movie-linked cartoon), and enjoy the G1 movie sequel toyline, and then a couple years after that, the third installment, with the continuation of the G1 movie-linked cartoon and toyline. And many years from now, when VH1 runs their "I Love the Aughts" series, there will be a section regarding the movie in aught-6, but there will be no mention of anything in the Armadaverse, unless of course one of the comedians that will be on makes a few jokes at how bad the TF series just before the movie came out were. I of course will laugh, and reminisce about how some made ridiculous claims that Armada's writing was not only better and more original than G1's, but BW's. Ah well, I guess even Godfather fans have to occasionally hear people who feel that Johnny Dangerously was a better mob movie.

This is just a stupid pissing contest. Does quantity now equal quality? If so, Pokemon kicks Armada/Energon's ass.
