Yes that's true.

Since there was better writing for G1, G1 Megatron's character was the

best. However, Energon Megatron is the most powerful. I think he

would defeat every other Megatron in one on one combat.

By far the WORST is G1. Either he's totally insane, or he's just partially insane, beats his soldiers, and comes up with the lamest plans in the entire universe (really, WTF would you make a 'Transfixatron' instead of say, I dunno...A SUPER DEATH WEAPON? And hey, don't attack and destroy that Ark with all the Bots still in it, no, that's just smart!) Then he gets the crap beat out of him, cheats to kill Prime by using a hostage, gets dumped by his army, and has to be powered up into a new form by Unicron just to -lose-. G1 Megs has such a track record of losing that he's hurt the Decepticon cause more than the Autobots have - he literally defeated his own army for his enemies.

 

BW Megs was awesome. He struggled -and- won the most. Really, a loner of a criminal faction, steals a rather important artifact under some decent security, grabs several fellow criminals, keeps them in line even though they all try to kill him (least, the smart ones try), manages to go back in time, kills Optimus Prime, thwarts attempts by an advanced alien race and actually takes some of their toys, sets the evolution of the human race back by centuries, and even when he lost, he still controls Cybertron and all it possesses and defeated ALL his opponents. Until the end when he 'had to lose' because it's a cartoon for kids - and even then he takes his nemesis with him for a stalemate.

 

Armada/Energon Megs comes in second. He doesn't need to work against his own team -and- his enemies, and he has Unicron as a crutch in Energon. Plus his assortment of Minicrons means he's not really getting all those wins under his own power.

Remember Moast of Megatrons Plots were stoled from his former mentor Cryotek, The Golden Disck theft, the time travel, the virus, and even the Spark Extracters were stolen from Cryotek.... but Megs did trick Cryotek into a status lock to get the chance to steal them.

 

p.s. Megs didn't kill the bots in the ark b/c thats proabably agains he warrior code that BW-Dinobot keeps yaping about.

I just loved him with his "Yess" and other humorous comments. When Blacharachia asked him why he talked to himself, he just replied: "Oh, I saimply have a penchant for intelligent information."

 

He was the most evil and easily willing to sacrify his own troops for personal glory. Sure, Energon Megatron may be more powerful but Beast Wars Megatron has the brains and in the end, brain always gets brawn.

At the end of Beast Wars, his entire army had either been killed or defected and he was a prisoner of the Maximals. Successful? I think not. :tftongue

Energon Megatron does seem to have everything going in his favor. Controlling Unicron is quite an achievement.

Incorrect. Cryotek is an UNOFFICIAL character and is not Show Canon. BW Megatron therefore still gets all the credit for all he did. Cryotek doesn't even have an -official- tech spec. That drek that the OTFCC guy wrote up hasn't been adopted by Hasbro.

As I mentioned my faves already, I still cannot deny that Armada/Energon Megatron is very powerful and could mop the floor with the other Megatrons. He is one of the more characterized and most shown to be "evil" than the others.

It's "official" the same way the Dreamwave stuff is. As both were done under license from Hasbro.

 

Still not show canon though. Show BM Megatron was much better (and successful) then his comic counterpart.
