Movies Megatron toys, what do you think of them all?

Rate them all from good to bad....

My 2 cents:

I'm only gonna rate & judge the movie-verse megatron toys in the voyager & leader sizes. because I don't like nor buy the tiny TF toys.

I don't rate any movie-verse megatron toys as awesome nor superior. All of them are missing something. most of them are designed like hideous monsters. Optimus clearly got the better designed movie verse toys compared to movie-verse megatron's toys.

2007 Movie leader sized Megatron: I feel is the most super poseable out of all the movie-verse Megatron toys. it's got tons of extra joints like a MP TF toy has. Problem is the sculpted design in both modes is pure ugly, too monsterous & hideous. The robot head is so ugly & just a pure waste of plastic. the jet mode is it's biggest downfall as it doesn't resemble any earth based jet mode,it's a cybertronian jet mode. The charm about most movie-verse TF toys is their based off realistic earth based liscensed & military issued alt modes. sadly megatron's jet mode is alien.

2007 Movie voyager Megatron: This is clearly the more beautiful sculpted 2007 movie megatron toy. the movie designs were watered down & tweaked to create a toy less hideous. the robot head sculpt is more beautiful looking. the toy has all the needed joints & has a ball joint head the leader toy lacks. sadly this voyager isn't as poseable/articulated in the joints like the leader movie megatron toy is. another down fall is thinner arms, thinner more brittle fingers. extremly fraigle weaker wings. the voyager has weaker gimmicks than the leader toy.

with the two 2007 movie verse megatron's,voyager & leader. It's boils down to beauty & the beast. if you want beauty but with less joints, less gimmicks & a ko feel toy then get voyager megatron. if you don't care about the beast & want articulation, higher sculpt, more joints, more gimmicks then get leader megatron.

ROTF Leader Megatron, the real killer down fall is the tank turrent arm witn no elbow joint,no swivel joint,no fingers joints. Everything else seems to be top notch. this is much better looking in both modes than 2007 movie megatron. sadly it lacks all the extra poseabilty that 2007 movie leader megatron has. the robot head sculpt is more beauitiful. the gimmicks are decent. If only a 3rd party company would create a super poseable tank turrent arm this would be super awesome & the best ever. th alien tank mode isn't as hideous as the alien jet 2007 leader megatron toy is. Another big minus,it's got a tank design that wasn't featured in the ROTF movie.

ROTF Voyager sized Megatron toy: This toy appears to be more poseable than the ROTF Leader sized megatron toy is. This toy shares some negatives like 2007 movie megatron's voyager toy has. oddly enough the robot head on the rotf voyager is uglier than the head on the rotf leader megatron toy. this toy is in the wrong colors,it's not movie accurate colored. this voyager does have the rotf movie accurate alt mode. this toy is a bit better than the 2007 movie megatron voyager.

DOTM Voyager sized megatron toy: Hands down it's got the best alt mode of all the movie verse megatron toys. problem is once you start transforming the toy it's all down hill from their. The toy is extremly fraigle & can't handle the back & forth transformation process. the robot head sculpt has got to be the ugliest movie verse megatron toy head sculpt of them all. the robot arms are very wire thin. the legs are best feature the robot design mode has. that rubber cape is the coolest thing this mold has going for it. not a fan of the weak designed upper robot chest sculpt.

Over-All,I feel the DOTM Megatron designs would have benefited the most by being a leader sized toy. a leader toy would have forced the arms to bulk up & the plastic & engineering to be stronger. the cool realistic alt mode would have made a decent leader sized toy. I think the damaged head would have been the biggest down fall if they made that feature into the leader toy design.

Over-all I don't view any movie verse Megatron toys as must gets nor do I reccomend them for others to buy. I think TF toy collections can do just fine without them. theirs clearly other lines that have better designed megatron toys & I suggest them.

the only one i bought was the Cyberverse Battle Tanker set. It's ok. Megatron had a real shitty look and alt mode for the first 2 movies. The last one wasn't bad but could have used the Leader treatment instead of Bumblebee. But i guess if Prime doesn't get it, why should Megs?

i cant really rate the movie one and two megatrons cause i dont have them.....i do have the voyager DOTM Megatron though and i actually really like it...the only real problems i have with it are no shotgun and the fact that the leg snapped on the "trailor hitch" joint the first time i tried to transform it cause the hip joint for transformation was so fucking tight...other than that i really like him...great figure in my opinion...looks great posed with HFTD Battle Blades Prime...

ROTF voyagers Megs aka Crabitron is the best. Everything about him is awesome. His gimp arm isn't so gimpy, his head sculpt is terrifyingly awesome, and his colors are WAY better then the shitty colors he had in the movie itself. In a sea of shit, Crabitron doth prevail.

DOTM Megatron was ok. I really like the idea but he ends up a little too small, as in he's not badass enough. No kick ass shotgun and the fact that he was even more of a little bitch in that movie didnt help.

DotM Meg's toy is awesome. The best Alt mode out of the three movies. They should have given DotM Meg's the leader treatment. Optimus didn't need it being as he's had the same alt mode in all three movies. BB, did not need another leader class figure.

Dotm Optimus Got something better than the leader class treatmnent. DOTM Optimus got the "Ultimate" size toy treatment.

the DOTM Ultimate Optimus truck/cab bot is 8 inches $27 usa ultra sized. the combined mode forms a 11 inch plus super robot mode.

FWIW,DOTM Optimus got the following movie verse toys: legends, commander, deluxe, voyager, ultimate. plus those two takara DOTM leader sized optimus toys that got heavy remolds that were DA-15 Jetfwing Prime & DA-28 Striker Optimus Prime.

Leader Class from the first film and from ROTF: :poop :poop :poop Also :deadhorse :deadhorse :deadhorse

Voyager from first film: :poop :poop :poop Also :deadhorse :deadhorse :deadhorse

Voyager from ROTF: Not entirely bad. Color was off but damn did he look mean. Nice faux jet mode too.

Voyager from DOTM: Like a lot, and as with everyone else, could have used leader class size, Eff BB LC mold to the max.

I just looked through my inventory listing and found that I have a LC RotF Megatron. No wonder I never opened him, I thought he was horrible!! One day I might open him. The only movie verse toys I have on display are LC Brawl, Voyager class Incinerator, Voyager DotM Megatron, and LC DotM Bumblebee, and that's only because he's a Camaro.

I love my RotF leader Megatron now that I've given him better arms: RotF leader Megatron

My next favorite is DotM voyager Megatron, then the voyager RotF Megatron, and finally the original movie Megatron. I gave him some working wrists so I like him a little better...

I also think the Cyberverse Megatron is a terrific toy!

Nice job!!!
