Energon Optimus with overload Costco exclusive, prime is so so but Overload should not exist.

Repaints? Pretty much the WORST ones I can think of - yes even worse than Sideswipe.. (I don't mind him that much btw.. atleast the car mode looks good..) is pretty much any of the G2 85 repaints.. espically Ramjet comes to mind..

Ooh.... goin' ALL the way back to 1992! Good call. I love the original G2 figures, but not the repaints.

*wants a JRX repaint*

OK, now I can get with that.

I'd have to say Energon Unicron. What genius thought it would be a good idea to do an immediate repaint of a giant toy that was warming shelves by the truck-load everywhere?

I don't think that they should have repainted Optimus Primal in the Universe line. Not that I don't like him, but they should have painted him either normally, or andy color but maroon/purple :tfpuke :tfpuke :tfpuke

But one repaint I do like is the Universe line Inferno. It reminds me a lot of G1 Red alert. The vehicle is roughly the same, and they both say "Fire Chief" in various places on the car.

I also noticed that when the third season of the G1 tv series came out, they repainted the Dinobots to look more like how they did in the cartoon and comics, which I thought was a good move. I'm pretty sure that when the original D-bots came out, with the blue and all, kids might have been more than a little confused, and saying things like "this isn't Grimlock" or something like that. I know my sister did.

Not sure what G1 you're referring to, dude. :tflaugh The Dinobots were some of the more show-accurate G1 figures (the only real exception being Swoop who was red on his chest rather than blue). They repainted three of the Dinobots in Generation 2 -- Grimlock turned blue, Slag turned green, and Snarl turned red. But they were all gray and red and gold in the TV show, and in G1.

here is a good question, would we all hated a-sideswipe if he had been red, or named something else

TF:U oilslick isn't that bad, the cons were due for an ugly ass car
