So i started setting up my Transformers room in my house. I successfully set up the G1 figures with out a hitch and started on Alternators. Sure enough, 2 of them break in transformation....well 1 did. I broke the foot off of Hound. I've transformed him 100 times! I'm so mad at myself. The other figure was Rodimus....who up until now was MISB. I didn't even get him out of the box and his door went flying off. This wasn't even my fault! So mad.

 

I'm sure everyone has broken a toy by accident. Get it out in the open!

 

 

 

 

In other news, any one have a junker Alternator Rodimus or Hound??!!?

I removed my 20th An. Optimus Prime from his box and the Megatron Gun that came with it completely fell apart....well, the extended stock handle fell apart....I blame the plastic it was made out of, but it still pissed me off. I was setting up my own "mancave/transformers" room and was so excited to connect Megatron to MP Startscream....it's not my fault! Damn you bad plastic!

While I was removing Bludgeon's head to put on the Blood head, The screw stripped so I had to force his head off, doesn't bother me any since the Blood head is much better.. But the Bludgeon head has a crack going down in line with the stripped screw and is useless now

The only TF I ever broke was BW TM Megatron. He was on of my favorites at the time. I was transforming him (carefully as always) and the transformation hinge on his arm broke off. I tried everything to fix it , but his arm keeps falling off. Still pissed off about that -_-.

I've auctually broke quite a few TFs before

Once, when Transforming Cybertron Evac, when you're suppose to flip the arms back and then down to convert him to robot mode, I accidently flip one of the arms down instead of back, and I broke itright off...

When I had Cybertron LeoBreaker Displayed on my table is Savage Claw Mode with Optimus, my little brother knocked him over and the peg of the right arm that connects LeoBraekers Arm to his foot for the comination broke off.. ( I felt better when Leo Prime ( White ) ame out.. )

I drop Cybertron Metroplex with his Giant Axe in his hand, and the "fingers" broke off..."

On Both the Regular and Premium Optimus Prime from the first movie line, I Broke off all four ruber smockstacks...

ROTF Leader Optimus Prime once fell off my shelf, and broke the left sword in half, but I fixed it with gorilla glue...

ROTF Bludgeon's right hand is starting to crack in half because I kept putting the sword on an off, and I know that if I contiue to do so, all of his "fingers" will fall of, making it impossable to hold the sword or the knife...

On my Universe Prowl, the plastic on his door that hold on to the ball jointed posts on his back wore off... ( Not my faut, it just happened. :/ )

Universe Hot Shot Visor Broke off when i was tring to position it...

I Broke the post on the Voyager Animated Optimus's Ax Because I bent it the wrong way durring the Transformation...

I was trying to remove the face plate on Leader Ironhide like "Peaugh" did, but I accidently broke off one of the wires to his electronics, ( so I put him in back in the box, returned him, and got Sentinal instead. :D )

I tried transforming one of him back in May to list on ebay and he fell apart on me. plastic was super brittle. Glad it wasn't my personal one though. which scares me. I'm displaying Beast Wars next.

The most recent toy I broke was Pretender Grimlock. He was holding his tail, and while trying to turn it back into T-Rex mode, the peg broke off. So now he can't hold his tail and the peg is stuck in his fist. :tfevil

Same happened to two of my Rodimus, both MISB the door came off of both while still in MISB, I called Hasbro told them the situation and had it sent and got a replacement Transformers.

This happened to mine too, he suffers badly from "gold plastic syndrome" :emo, I still have the armada version of him though, so yay :yay

Damn that sucks. I always wanted the Pretender Grimlock figure, had the other three classics retenders, but never him

 

 

Oh and about a year ago I decided ti have a look at my boxed G1 Thunderclash Turbomaster figure. I looked at him and his GPS was apparrent. I'm goign to try and fix him with pieces from a junker machine wars Prime if I find one cheap on ebay though... :emo

Earliest memory I have of breaking a TF would be G1 Ironhide. Only thing I remember of actually owning G1 Ironhide. :tfsad

 

I've broken a few others back in the day, due to not realizing the differences in articulation between TFs in and of themselves, and G.I. Joe. Scene usually went "Okay...so this Transformer's arm moves like this... and so does the G.I. Joes...let's see about this TF arm. *snap* ... " Lessons learned, and so glad articulation is typically common place these days. :tflaugh

 

Any in recent years, has been from falling or damaged by improper storage.
