Rid Prime Tire Question

Recommended Posts

Ok so I found some replacement tires for my Rid Prime. So I have to ask how Do I protect these new ones? I don't want them to split like the original ones.

If they are rubber/rubber-esqe, Armor all or baby oil and as usual, keep the daylight to a minimum. I use to do that with a lot of old collectible cars I use to have and that kept the tires in pretty good condition, but definitely check around.

Yes they are rubber tires. So armor all or Baby oil would help them from splitting

Also, be sure the environment you keep the toy(s) is not too dry, that affects them as well.

Buy Super Fire Convoy? Nicer colours (plastics are "metallic", gray isn't "flat") and the rubber tyres don't split on the Japanese versions. The only downside I've found is that the chrome chips easier on the Japanese version. :(

I have both... chrome-chipped but perfect tyres SFC and perfect chrome but split tyres RiD OP! D'oh!

I have Fire Convoy and God Magnus. Both are in good condition (I think only a tiny chip on convoy's chest) and I've kept them stored most of the time, but I recall seeing a crack or two on my Magnus' wheels that I glued. I'd still be cautious and keep an eye on them, Japanese or not

Well the tires I found are on that yellow repaint of Rid Prime and the tires on it actually say Fire Convoy. So Im thinking they might be the japanese tires

They say that on the original RiD Prime anyway. Same with God Magnus, Transformers, and Cybertron on RiD Ultra Magnus.

Do you know if they fixed the tire problem on the yellow Rid prime?

I play with my toys

Convoy's chrome did not survive

I think storage sucks :P
