HASBRO the US economy is just horrible since bush. Every item we buy in the us could help us more. Better than japan getting more jobs. Plus tarka has gone down hill look at their new galvatron.......I can deal with pint, but what pisses me off is how hasbro puts tarkas paint job on the back of the box.

im wondering whats the difference except price/availability/box art between takaras reissues and hasbro's

Off the top of my head

Prime\Magnus - short stacks, long missiles

Starscream\Thundercracker\Skywarp - long missiles

Powermaster Prime - long missile

Prowl\Blustreak\Smokescreen - unchromed missiles and gun, missing springs

Grapple - unchromed hook, missing springs

Inferno\Hoist\Tracks - missing springs

Jazz - unchromed missile and gun, long missile

so i take it the hasbro ones are missing the springs?

Yep. Otherwise they'd have to make the missiles longer due to toy safety regs.

bah...so i get takara reissues then

bye bye paycheck!

plus the takara versions come in dreamwave boxes with binder cards and sometimes cool accessories, like a megatron gun and hand that can hold it with starscream, and a fist for prime that holds it as well, and a DVD all in the starscream box. Sweet! and in the prime box, an energy mace, and a binder to hold the sheets, and in the megs box, a mousepad, an energon flail, and decepticon stickers.

sold to takara now

Yep. The Takara TF Collection has more goodies. They're only 5-10 bucks more expensive here in Canada depending where you shop online.

I have both companies re-issues. I usually buy the Hasbro version if I see it at TRU.

By the way, Thundercracker, Skywarp, Red alert, and some others have not been re-issued in the TF Collection series yet. So they're still really expensive.
