I Need Some Help With My Collection

Using Auctiva, you can schedule your auctions to list/end close to each other. they do a 30 day free trial so if you can list all your items within that time frame, you don't pay them anything. Having a lot of pictures per auction would greatly help your cause in getting the highest return per figure. I would definitely look into it. Also, having you items end all at once doesn't help buyers who want to bid on multiple items. Using the scheduler, i would give a 2 minute window per item. Also, spread the items out to different days so you're email box isn't bombarded by emails from ebay all at once. This option will take some work but will easily net you the most money back.

Sounds like a plan. Is Auctiva a part of eBay? It makes since to have stuff end within a short time of one another instead all of once and the spreading out during days. Of course I'd spread them between Thurs, Fri, Sat as those are best days and would end them during the night time as thats when there is more traffic.

As for pictures it'll be sort of a pain as my DigiCam is not Mac compatible so I'll have to go to like WalGreens and get them put onto a disc to load onto the computer, but I'll be able to take plenty and I know the do's and don't of how to take proper pics.

I would be so upset if I had to sell my G1 collection... it'd be like selling my childhood. :(

Anyway, hope everything works out for you.

Auctiva is a listing service. I don't think its owned by eBay.

I've always regretted selling my TFs. I moved so many in the past, I don't remember why exactly. But I never got rid of my G1 stuff.

Welcome to the unemployed club Omegajetfire. I to had to part with my Transformer collection to make money for ends meet since I have been unemployed for 2 years. In fact, I currently have no Transformers and only a few Gi Joe figures, which is down from a pretty big collection I had prior to my unemployment. I can't help you, but I just want to wish you luck in your job searching endeavors and I hope your unemployment doesn't run as long as mine has. Being unemployed definitely takes a toll on your self-esteem and self-worth. So best of luck to you friend and I hope you can find something before you have to part with your ENTIRE Transformer collection. As for me, I will buy a few replacement figures here and there once I start working again....whenever that will be. Take care bro.

I've always regretted selling my TFs.

I rarely sell any TFs, but if I do my rule is, "Will I miss this toy?" - if the answer is no, then I'll sell it. The only toys I've parted with that I occasionally think about now are actually ones that were doubles ironically ... one was a spare MISB G2 Laser Prime and the other was a spare Beast Wars Metals Ravage. But they were spares and I do have both of those toys loose. And I only really started missing BWM Ravage after I started seeing the obscenely inflated prices that people are paying for him now! And to think that I traded him for a handful of loose G1 and G2 toys and parts. :P (this was a long time ago before the crazy inflated aftermarket prices came along) Not sure if I'd miss it that much if he weren't fetching such a high aftermarket price atm though, heheheh.

So I can't say I truly regret any of the TFs I've parted with. Cos when choosing which toys to sell or trade, I know that if I'm gonna regret selling that toy later, then I just won't sell or trade if off in the first place. I do have a bunch of non-TF toys that I want to get rid of though (might post a thread in the appropriate board section later)
