giant green decepticon?

Recommended Posts

Anyone got any clue who the giant green decepticon was in Dotm? He is seen escaping the bridge incident as the other decepticons are scatering... He never changes, but as his huge long arms and legs each sport 1-2 tires each?! He only walks on all fours and gave off a guerilla/granddaddy long legs feel. He is also seen at the end taking on all Dino/mirage, sideswipe, and ratchet, in this very scene he picks up an autobot wrapping his fingers completely around who I thought was sideswipe. The best description I can give is that he stands about three stories tall, is green, has a standard bot torso with a head kinda shaped like megatrons but no mouth and two eyes. His arms are longer then his body and match his long legs hince the daddy long leg comment, each leg has tires, and his arms sport rebarb like armor near his hands. I'm thinking he may be a gestalt? As he has way too many tires to be one vehicle????

Its probably hasbro's excuse to try and sell off some re-boxed devastators from last year. :tflaugh

When I go check out the movie tomorrow ill keep an eye out for him. :D

Yeah I noticed that thing throughout it looked wicked cool! Don't know who it's supposed to be though?

It looked like a green robotic Cloverfield monster.

I saw it. I think that like the garbage truck con who reused Brawl's body it looked to me that his head was reused from Bonecrusher. As for his body, it was really odd. I'm willing to bet he turns into some sort of semi w/ flatbed trailer, the trailer forming the incredibly long arms. I'm sure we'll find out thru some concept art or something later on but my money is on a car carrier transport.

Why isn't there one of those anyway? Pack him in with a few Dreads and watch him fly off the shelves.

I'm kinda surprised that Hasbro hasn't shown us a little more movie offerings yet. STILL hoping for a leader Megatron.

There is something about the movie offerings that I'm not digging. Not really into getting any of them except maybe Leader Ironhide, Leader Sentinel Prime, and a Leader Megatron if they release one. The rest are just kinda blah. It would be interesting to see if they release that one as to what it becomes though.

I don't know, to me it feels like we have more toys out now than for any other previous TF series. Between MechTech, Cyberverse, and Human Alliance, I haven't even collected half of the DotM toys I'm planning on getting...

Overall maybe more expansive, but as far as the standard selections of deluxe, voyagers, and leaders go it's been pretty weak. Lots of repaints and more coming and we haven't even heard of anything beyond what we already know is coming. At this point in past lines I think we knew a lot more about coming figures than we do now.

I think Hasbro is proceeding rather cautiously with this line. I think they're being careful not to dump all kinds of money into new figures that may never get a mass release like we've been seeing.

I don't believe we'll get a leader Megs this time or a Shockwave. If there were plans for those I think at least one would have been out in the earlier waves or at very least we would have seen prototypes or something at this point. But not even a whisper of them doesn't bode well for those hoping.

Or maybe it's going to be a slow trickle until the holiday season. Wasn't there a rumor that the movie was coming to retail in November?

It does seem like we've only seen half of what was offered this time around ROTF. So it goes like this:

TF1 is so popular, Hasbro didn't anticipate the consumer demand and there was a huge drought during the holiday season.

Hasbro prepares too much for ROTF and floods the markets with a lot of new figures and even more repaints. So much so that there's too much garbage flooding the aisles and not enough of what everyone actually wants.

DOTM is being taking more cautiously. Hasbro is careful not to waste their money making too much and is just feeling it out. They are seeing whats moving and whats not and then make decisions based on that (this is speculation). I think we'll get plenty, I just think they are going to be spread out more.
