TFC Not-Devestator pre order up.

Can't tell yet whether I really want this... Depends how it's gonna look with proper size comparisons and in full production colours I guess. Also, I would hope they release a complete box set of six in the fullness of time, with some level of savings compared to buying them all separately.

Oh man... That's... insane. I feel bad about saying that, but... wow. Don't get me wrong, I've put down some heafty cash on some third party prouducts before... but... really? $100 for one sixth of a combiner? He'll be close to $600 when all is said and done, and while I am sure he will be full of awesome, I just can't justify that kind of expense. Hell, some of the ones I do buy for much less then that the justification can be pretty weak. ("I know the Takara DOTM Optimus is four or five times as much as the Hasbro one, but I must have my useless plastic box on wheels!") This one... Can't do it, Sally.

To those who can do it... More power to you, and I look forward to enviously enjoying the reviews online.

I hear ya. Wish I could myself at this juncture. Would be awesome having that Devastator set.

Now, what I'm hoping for is Fansproject to chime in and finish what Hasbro started with the Energon Constructicon Maximus. If they were able to produce a cement mixer, a dump truck, a crane loader and a backhoe (I think that's what Scavenger was), along with some appendage extensions like they did with the Bruticus project, I think we'll have a winner there. I'd be more than ecstatic to purchase that.

That's an awesome thought about Fansproject, but I could swear I read a few months back (although don't ask me to give a source, as I fear I cannot recall) that Fansproject was planning future projects based around what they knew what other third party developers were up to to try and avoid repetition. I guess they got burned on the G3 Prime trailer since there was a competing Classics Prime trailer produced around the same time. (Personally, though, I liked the look of G3 one better and that is the one I purchased.) So I wouldn't hold my breath on a Fansproject Devestator project.

YEAH! Lets just see what my hero's at Fansproject will cook up. ^_^

This is as close to a MP Devastator we will probably ever get. Not-Dev looks to be around 16 inches. Even if a MP one did come out, it wouldn't be near as tall as this guy.

Has anyone else noticed that the arms and the legs are the same figure? Could it be that they have not prototyped them yet? I really hope the don't take the cheep way out like they did with the Maximum figures. With the price point they are at now that would suck.

I noticed that too when I saw pics of it at Botcon. The Exgraver posed as both arms, and the legs were composed of the same bot as well.

Yes, they just haven't been prototyped yet. They did that to give you the idea of the overall look. Its better than having him missing an arm, leg and being held up by a stand.

I'd be fine if they released a figure every 2-3 month. $600 is alot of money, but not if you break it up throughout the year. If they released one every 2-3 months, you'd only need to save $33-50 a month.

There are a few reasons I have to pass on this one. The biggest is cost. But not so much the total price. What if future releases price goes up more? They could jack up the final piece to over two hundred, just because we need the last one to complete the set. Hopefully, these guys are not devious like that. Also, what if the first one doesnt sell well and they scrap the idea, or if they get three in and scrap it. Then we shelled out the cash for half a devastator.

But then, if they were all released at once for 600 there would be no way most people would be able to cover that.

This thing is a great idea, but I think they went too big.

What if they sold Not-Dev's hands, head(?) and gun(?) separately.

If they did do something that devious, I'm sure they would just about lose most, if not all, of their customers. Nobody wants to be screwed with, especially when you throw in their hard earned money.

The leg limbs seem to be the biggest of the 6, I think. So those 2 bots right there might get a price increase. Plus, what if they throw in diecast to give it some weight? Increase again.

In one of the pics that showed Exgraver, the fist was pictured next to the prototype. There was also a gun in hand. I would imagine he would come with these pieces.

I wasn't talking about the individual bot guns. I was talking about Devastator's gun. Which pic had the fist anyways?

I have heard that he was said to be like 12 inches tall combined.

On a side note, I would be totally interested in getting this guy. But the target masters from TFClub were just terrible, had horrible QC and fell apart easily :(. Dont even get me started on the headmasters they made. My point is, all of this company's past products have suffered from really shoddy quality control, just how much better will these guys be?

Well if you happen to have a Leader Bawl, you should be able to estimate the size: http://cdn.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attach/7/1/5/9/0/cmbbc_1297088655.jpg

Keep in mind how far back he is. Dev has no legs in this pic, just propped up, so it is unsure if that is really how tall he would be. My guess is that he would be about that height based on: http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j51/PreciousJenn96/69a367e0jw1dgqiqvnml6j.jpg
