Makes me happy I didn't throw down 200 bones for this. I collect model cars too and it pisses me off when I pay $65 for a 'high detail' model only to find out the trunk won't open and the engine has no hose/wire detail. If it's a Transformer and costs $200, you better be able to transform it without wearing kid gloves.

Well, mine arrived today. I had a devil of a time getting it to vehicle mode. One of the rare times I needed to watch a video for an assist. (Only other time I can recall that happening would have been ROTF Leader Optimus's chest.) This toy is a bit scary in a few parts, especially those tabs on Hot Rod's roof that plug into his legs... but overall, I'm a fan and am glad to have it. But man, especially with that trailer, is he a shelf hog! (Of course, same could be said for any Optimus with a trailer.)

 

Anyway, glad to gave 'em. Now, I shall just be very careful with him!

My main problem with posing Megatron is getting his cannon to stay in place. I can get him to stand well, but a lot of the time his forearm with the cannon will rotate so it's upside down. When I do display him with his cannon, I usually have it leaning on something.

I was going to try buying a G1 Megatron cannon on eBay to use in place of it, but I've lost interest in that idea...

Do it! The MP cannon is too big and too heavy. G1 size works great scale-wise, and it even slides onto MP Meg's arm with no bashing (if you don't mind the cannon being on slightly the wrong axis)...

 

I'm still waiting for my MP HR/RP to be dispatched, been over a month since he was ordered and I've paid £150 in total, yet I've still got to wait until they've got more stock in, which should be next week, before I finally recieve my order.

 

I really hope he's worth the costs and wait, tired of waiting to find out now.

Got mine from Captured Prey today, was hoping he would be taller, but the alt mode makes up for it

It's a party now. I've got Rod in hand, and I'm feelin' good. The plastic seems like something off the Animated line, but overall, I'm loving him so far.

Saves me writing a near duplicate post when I can copy and paste what I just wrote on another Transformers forum -

 

Mine arrived about over two hours ago - It arrived later than I was told it would, it arrived at around 6 this evening UK time.

 

He's impressive, no doubt about that, looks great in all modes. But his flaws detract somewhat. Like his backpack not clipping in very well, not being able to hold his weapons, the croutch piece in alt mode preventing any real ground clearance.

All of those could have been easily fixed, like the croutch piece folding up just enough to allow ground clearance, the guns having small tabs that could fully hold the weapons in place, two tabs on the backpack that could fold around and click into place in the back securely instead of one tab trying to hold the weight of the backpack in place.

 

Despite his flaws though, he really is very impressive. Not worth over £100 impressive, but still impressive. His alt modes are almost very cartoon accurate, almost.
