New Looks at Transformers Dark of the Moon Deluxe Dread and Starscream

Recommended Posts

Outside of the Megatron voyager, everything I have seen thus far from DOTM is a total and utter crap.

My wallet is breathing a sigh of relief. Thus far, it looks like the Megs voyager is all I'll be getting. BTW: if the toys are any indication, DOTM is going to make ROTF look like On Golden Pond, or Once Upon a Time in The West.

I've already adopted the brace position. DOTM is gonna hurt, and hurt BAD.

I'll reserve a broad criticism of the whole line and just say that these look AW...ful. :P

who designed these toys? they look horrible, every figure from DOTM looks bad except maybe megatron. Strarscream looks anorexic and like hes wearing a brown diaper. dreads isnt too bad but his feet look bad and he seems a little cartoony, almost like the activators. i also hate the new weapon gimmick they should be sold separatly so we can have some decent toys. i hope the dont ruin shockwave, sentinel prime, or soundwave (again like rotf). ugghh why cant all figs be universe classics?

Given the "MechTech" giant gun gimmick and exaggerated limbs some of these guys are sporting I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to find out Rob Liefeld was designing them....

:rofl

dread doesn't look so bad and I like the new megatron but everything else I have seen so far is just well...odd. I had some hopes for the deluxe screamer but they have been dashed.

What more do you expect? This is obviously a scaled down version of the leader class, given its horribly mistransformed. But that is more of the sellers fault, not the toys.

This is why Hasbro doesn't like leeks and has been so critical lately... because these sellers release very bad quality pictures of the "leeked" figures, its almost always either very blurry, to dark, or the figure is wadded up into a ball because its mistransformed so badly. Then the fans take these pictures and spread around that the figure and the line "sucks" even before we have any proper pictures and reviews.

I've been a fan the movie figures thus far. My biggest complaint about them has been the lack of paint app. As far as these DOTM figures go. I can't even described how disappointed I am. The alt modes look good but the robot modes are pure crap. When I look at these things. I feel like God is intervening and telling me that, "You have bought enough transformers already. It's time to save your money". I've been hoping to see something that will change my mind but I highly doubt it's going to happen.

You can polish a turd but it;s still a turd :poop .....wait let me put a smiley face beside it to spruce it up :poop :D......nope. i still see a turd.

I'm still (mostly) reserving judgment until the final products are released. We have no way of knowing for sure what class these figures fall under. This could all be a bunch of bitching over the next generation of Fast Action Battlers....

That's the problem, how does one decide that something that still has months until release is a "turd". Hasbro has plenty of time to make changes to the mold and improve upon it, besides just because you don't like something does not mean that everyone dislikes it.

Also I would like to point out that these figures will not be hitting stores until around June. So its quite possible they haven't gotten all of their paint apps yet, since the release is still about 5 months away...
