Everbody has their own deal and I'm not judging. I just have no trouble finding everything I want without extensive hunting. With two Toys'R'Us stores about fifty miles away (and in opposite directions) I'd much rather spend the time with my wife and boys than waste it on extra trips.

I enjoy Transformers second only to said family (and the occasional time gobbling Final Fantasy game) but I guess my priorities are different. Collecting is a great hooby but it's still just a hobby. Outside of watching the shows and movies the only extra time I spend on TF's is forum chatting with you guys and this is the only site I do that on.

Maybe I'm just lucky I get the figures I want during the course of normal shopping trips I'd be taking anyway....

I am very upset about the scalpers, but If I could get the UPC barcode I can find these items cause when you call Hasbro and ask about them they are saying that they are discontinued! On the other hand I got my Masterpiece Grimlock last night!

Scalpers seem to come out of the woodwork when all these new figures come out. Hate it when all you see is pegs/shelves full of only one type of figure and its the one you already have. Toys R Us is about 100 miles away, and I don't make that trip out that way often. At least there are two stores, but still.... I would love to see if they have these figs next time I travel there.....gonna cross my fingers. At least I've seen all the new figures here out in the boondocks of New Mexico. Legends figs of the HFTD....Rampage/Ravage/Optimus/Bumblebee....gonna get them next trip. Generations Figs---Bumblebee/Drift. Powercore combiners---3 types(dont remember the names) HFTD deluxe class----stormjet/bumblebee/ravage. HFTD scout class---4 types (don't remember the names) HFTD voyager class---sea spray/payload/ironhide. HFTD leaderclass----Optimus & Starscream.......AND I ended up picking up Starscream for $30!!!! If I had a bit more money, I would've picked up OPTIMUS leader class too. But I'm happy....the one new fig I really wanted was STARSCREAM. but I do want to finish up my Animated collection, so hopefully I can get these new figs soon.

 

 

If TRU is 100 miles away, are you sure it's not just people getting there before you?

 

Sory but a quick TRU search for me brings up 68stores in my local area, go on the store locater 07032 and alot of times they have nothing in any of them.

 

I just see it this way, TRUs are busy near me, people like Transformers, and TRU sucks at restocking on average and normaly only get 2 or 3 of each figure to start with.

 

Dam dirty scalpers!!!

You haven't seen these 2 guys yet here in the east, right? It seems that at least the Dover, DE location and your locations in Jersey are on par with releasing stuff. I want to keep track of that since I get to Dover less than the Maryland TRUs

I can tell you RI and Mass has nothing, not these two or MP Grimlock.

If they're just coming out in the west, then the eastcoast has at least 3 weeks on average before they start trickling in.

 

There might be a couple out. I heard about MP grimlock in New England, but basicly these are still being shipped over to here. Just gotta wait for them to go through wharehouse.

 

Also, check you states sightings thread. Theres people in NJ that seem to just post there a biweekly round up of everything on the pegs. It helps.

I like to hit ebay every now and again to scope the G1 stuff. Whenever these exclusives start hitting the shelves they pop up for auction in droves at three times the store price. That's what I base alot of my scalper scorn on.

In case you care my zip is 60938. I have four Toys'R'Us stores I get to occasionally: Champaign, Matteson, Bloomington, and Lafayette. The first two are the closest but as I said above they're still about fifty miles away.
